Worked for this company for one week, refused to pay me. Don't hire this company unless you like fascist slave labor.

Scam. Get in your door with a low price, then jack it up. Employees don't get paid checks with pay stubs. They get checks that bounce. Been confirmed that this business does not follow LNI practices so DO NOT HIRE THEM.

Very bad attitude of customer service. They said $199 to vacuum air duct whole house is scam, usually the employee come to your house said your air duct need deep clean, the price would be changed a lot. When you refuse the service charge, then they have rude attitudes to customers.

We needed our chimney cleaned and had difficulty finding someone to do it. We were contacted by a Soot Away representative who said someone could be there in 30 to 60 minutes and would clean the chimney for $99 plus tax. When the Soot Away person, ****, arrived he looked into our chimney with a light on a cable attached to a screen. He immediately said the chimney was very dirty and needed a "deep cleaning" that would cost $425. He also wanted to clean our heating/cooling ducts and the package for chimney and duct cleaning would be about $900. We talked him down to $370 including tax for just the chimney cleaning. He cleaned the chimney using a brush on the end of detachable shafts that went up into the chimney and were attached to a drill to spin the brush. He did not clean the chimney from the top at all. It took him no more than 15 minutes to "clean" the chimney. After cleaning the chimney, he mentioned the dryer vent. He looked at the dryer vent where it exits the side of the house and said it would cost $99 to clean it from the outside. We agreed to have him do that for $55 additional. In 5 minutes he got a fair amount of material out of that vent. Although we had been told on the 'phone we could pay by credit card, he then informed us that there was a 5% charge to use a credit card. We were tired of the whole matter and paid the 5%.We do not know how effective the cleaning of either the chimney or dryer vent was. We did see soot that was removed from the chimney and material from the dryer vent. The main point is that we were given a false impression during the initial telephone conversation and then subjected to very high pressure sales tactics when the representative was here. All told, we paid over $400 for not more than a half hour of work - that's very high hourly rate even factoring in some money for explanations and travel time. There is also an affiliated service, NW ************* (nwairductpros.com), with the same telephone number.
