    They made a change within the last two weeks that a minimum of a 15% tip is mandatory and it is not reflected in their prices. Is this even legal? Aren't tips optional? I always leave a tip, this was the first time I was told it was mandatory.

    Thank you for your feedbackwe truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Youre absolutely right that traditionally, tips are considered optional and based on service satisfaction. However, due to rising operating costs and the need to fairly compensate our hardworking staff, weve implemented a mandatory 15% service charge on all services.


    This policy is clearly posted in the salon, and customers are informed before receiving any service. We completely understand if anyone chooses not to proceed based on this policythat is absolutely their right.

    Were currently in the process of updating our price list and communication materials to reflect this change more clearly. Were sorry for any confusion this may have caused, and we appreciate your continued support and understanding.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The business in their response gives circular reasoning: they state that the price is communicated and posted yet state they are updating their posting. Which is it?

    If the price was correctly posted it would not have to be updated. If the price was correctly posted we would not have been in the situation in the first place as I would have no grounds to make a complaint.

    The business is creating false statements and per the copy of receipts that are given, it is not shown as the business states that it is. If I was so inclined, and had the time and money to do so, I could pursue fraud charges.

    On the 24th of april I was charged 110 dollars to get gel-x nails done. Id been to this place before and i was only charged *****. They did not tell me the price before finishing my nails and only once they had finished did they tell me. the price was also incorrectly displayed. I had them explain to me why it was so expensive and they told me is was 5 dollars per nail i got a design on so they charged me an extra 35. If that were true they would have charged 50 because i got all 10 nails with a ************ nowhere on the price sheet does it state that it is 5 dollars a nail, it only says 5 dollars for nail design. I once had a worker tell me that chrome (a type of glitter) was free of charge but this worker told me it was 15. When i asked the front desk worker how much designs should cost she said 5-25$ so clearly all workers are choosing their own prices in order to lie and overcharge clients for their own gain. The business also does not tax, and only takes cash tips. they have three locations and i have experienced this at other locations as well.
