In August/September 2019, we hired Tim the Painter to paint the exterior of our 6plex rental property and paid him over $9,000. We picked the more expensive paint because we wanted it to last longer and also did not want flat paint. He told us he doesn't use flat paint and promised to warranty his work. In December 2022, the paint is peeling off our property and the color is fading badly so we contacted Tim the painter. In March 2023 they finally came out to look at the property. The first thing he said is that the paint should not look like that in 3 years. A paint rep from ******************************* came out that same month to look at the building. In April, ******************************* said it was our siding that caused the paint to peel and it needed to be properly prepped to fix it. We asked questions about the fading and never got a response, so we went to the local ******************************* store. They also viewed our building and said the paint should not look like that in that short of time. They looked up what was used to paint our building and told us that it was a cheaper flat paint (Super paint), not what we paid for ******** satin paint). I do not think we would have the same fading/peeling issues if the correct paint had been used and it had been properly prepped. I have tried to contact this company by phone, text and email several times and they do not return my calls. At minimum, we were charged for an expensive paint only for them to switch it to a cheaper quality paint.
