      My parents belonged to this organization back in 2007 but when my father's health began declining, my mother wished to cancel their membership. Over the years she attempted to cancel the membership, up until the time she became stricken with senility and early onstage of Alzheimers, eventually being placed in a memory care facility. There was no estate and i honestly do not know if my younger sister, their personal representative for their health, which terminated at their deaths, continued to contact this business. I was recently provided the most recent invoice from this business that was sent to my parents old mail box receptacle. We are hoping this business will just close this matter and stop sending statements and am requesting your assistance if possible. Thank you for any assistance you may offer.

      Our records indicate that ****** and **** ***** had been members of Advance Resorts of America since 1993, with their last dues payment received in 2009.We have had no contact with them or any family members since that time until now, though their membership remained in our system.

      We have now been informed that both ****** and **** ***** have passed ******* light of this, we are proceeding with the formal cancellation of their membership,effective immediately. No further action is required.

      Were fed up with Advanced Resorts of America's lack of response regarding our requests to cancel our timeshare. Weve decided that the last maintenance fee we paid is truly the last. It's ridiculous for us to keep paying for something that no longer benefits us, especially when we should have been released from this obligation months ago.This timeshare was pitched to us as an asset, but its anything but. Our family has no interest in holding onto this so-called membership, and frankly, the ongoing costs are not something we can manage at our age. We dont want to burden our child with this nonsense in the future.

      We did cancel the camping membership, when the customer first requested, in August of 2024. We have not sent anymore invoices since then. The annual camping membership was cancelled as the customer requested in August of 2024.


      We apologize if miscommunication existed regarding this. We request this matter be closed with the BBB.

      We wanted to follow up with you on the correspondence that was sent to the BBB regarding complaint 22512757.

      We are trying to confirm if our entire membership is now closed, and would like to confirm that we have no further obligations to ARA now, or in the future. Our account information is ********. Please send us written confirmation that our membership is closed. We have not been able to use our membership since 2016, and due to the resorts condition, we had lost a desire to use it. Considering the minimal usage, and the broken promises from your company, we would also like to be reimbursed for the fees we have paid you since 2016. Please respond to us with the necessary information, and speak to a manager about providing us with that refund.

      Hello,

      We received email from **** & ***** ********* on 11/29/24 with the same request asking if their membership with Advance Resorts of America is now cancelled/closed. We mailed **** & ***** ********* a letter on 11/29/24 indicating that their membership with Advance Resorts of America is cancelled. We cancelled their membership in August of 2024. As for request for reimbursement of fees paid since 2016, no reimbursement will be given.
