They revoked my security deposit and charged me over $2000 for damages which were already there when we moved in, as detailed by their move in inspection itself, and pictures I provided. They supposedly pay contractors $95 an hour. And yet the supposed damages I, and my family, caused in 8 years of being there, were ultimately ALREADY THERE and they never bothered to fix it. Mainly, if I understand, doors, closet doors and wooden frames my cats scratched a lot. This inventory already had damage. I paid $50 a month in pet rent for years, so they ultimately profited even before charging me this. And maintenance told my wife the damages aren't that bad. She showed them before moving out. They told her to leave material such as drywall and cleaning supplies behind so they could use it to help with some of the damages or work left behind, then they charge for that too. They do not care that I have two kids, a wife and had to move ***** miles away. But they threaten me with collective action and wage garnishing. There is literally proof of everything I am saying in pictures, documentation and communication. They also refused to address maintenance issues while I was there, including a time the fridge died. For two weeks, I was without a fridge while calling them daily. I was never compensated for the loss of food, having to go out, and replace the fridge myself. They have no idea what I was talking about because, well, that would require maintenance doing their job. Not something they're particularly good at. It was the same with the door frames, door and closet doors I contacted them about. Which, again, WERE ALREADY DAMAGED WHEN WE MOVED IN - literally proof of this everywhere. They acknowledged it themselves in the move in inspection.See the theme? They neglect repairs, ignore everything, then charge you for it later. And even if I pay this $2000+ charge, they still won't fix it for the next tenant either. They'll just charge them in the same cycle.
