    Entered agreement for a carport, paid initial invoice and owner said he incorrectly cited the invoice and I was due to pay an additional 15%. Made payment and was estimated installation of carport of 4-6 weeks, called after 6 weeks and was told 8 weeks. Called after 13 weeks and was told that my order had not been fulfilled and was forgotten about. I asked for a refund on the deposit (and provided justification) and was told no. Made a review of ******** (Since I had gone through years of ********s reviews as reference before moving forward with company, I found it applicable to share my experience). Then asked again for a refund with justification. Was told that half of the deposit would be refunded (there was offer, acceptance, and consideration). Couple hours later, received text slander from ShedsPlus (attached) and phone call will vulgar language about my review and "the deal was off and I could go **** myself". This is my first complaint on BBB and can upload additional information as requested.

    Hello. I had sold a carport to **** in December. To make the order go through, customer have to pay a deposit (18%) to secure the price and get schedule for install. **** really wanted to get the carport but he was unable to pay for the full deposit to get the order. I wanted to work with him so he could get the sale price before the sale fully went away and I agreed that he could pay half up front, and the remainder the following month. I have never made this concession for anyone.

    I had him sign an installation declaration, (attached) which I have all my customers do when they order clearly stating that installation timing was an estimate only, and that Sheds Plus has no control of the actual date they get installed. The last signature also states that if he decides to cancel his order which he clearly stated to me he wanted to, that there is no refunds if the customer decides to cancel. 

    I also told him when I sold him the carport, that when customers get the call form the manufacture for an actual date, to please tell me when that is so that we know as his dealer. I also say that if too much time has passed, to please call me so that I can poke the manufacture to get an answer quickly. I never got any call from ****, other than the moment he emailed me and decided that he wants to cancel. I reminded him that if he wants to cancel that the deposit was not going to be refunded. I had a conversation with him that if you never got a call, why didn't he just call me directly so that I can find out what is going on with his order to get completed. **** told me that he just doesn't need it anymore. to clarify, he is canceling. 

    I waited a week to see how I was going to respond. I called him and said that I was comfortable to refund half of his deposit, because he was unhappy and I always work with my customers. I was being more than fair about that offer. I again reminded him that there are NO REFUNDS on cancelled deposits, and that if he didn't get a call from the manufacturer, he should have called me direct to inquire about delivery, and not telling me he is cancelling. **** agreed that the half the refund was acceptable.

    Hours later I see that **** made a slanderous remark to my ******** business page. I then texted him and asked is that how you want to play that Bull**** after we just agreed what the decision for refund was going to be? Why would I be happy about any slander publicly on social media? I told him that the deal was off the table from his actions. 

    Again, his order was still standing, and I verified with the manufacturer that they can install him, but **** decided to cancel. No deposits on cancelled orders is the policy. 

    I would reconsider another refund, but I am not sure we can be fully comfortable at this point as he can freely badmouth my company if he chooses to want to again.

    I am rejecting this response because:  There was written evidence of timelines given (Please see both conversations in attachments).  Being cursed at was also not included in the contract (Please see attachment labeled 'Sheds plus_Text Conversation).   'Cancel' was never used by the buyer (myself).  If the dealer (Sheds Plus) has any evidence of this, please provide.  Only discussion of refund was used.

    Working towards a resolution, below are available options to continue:

    1) If the contract was cancelled prematurely without my consent, then a refund in the amount of $666.90 is warranted.

    2) If Sheds Plus no longer wishes to continue the contract with myself, then a refund in the amount of $666.90 is warranted.

    3) If the contract is still in standing, then Sheds Plus may continue fulfilling the order.  Further involvement of this order shall be under the strict supervision of myself, the Better Business Bureau, and the ********** of ***** and Industries (most likely ********************* ******************** who is the L&I Account Contact for *********************.  Evidence must be provided that ******* (Sheds Plus) has pursued the order with the manufacturer in good faith and can provide the product in a timely manner; especially since "They have been installing many of my orders that got approved after yours was submitted" (See attached file titled 'Sheds Plus_Email Conversastion).  

     

    All refunds are to be mailed by check to PO Box 718 *******************, ** 98258.

    If you are wanting to accept this order again please say yes. If not and you wish to cancel, I am not offering a refund.
