On June 25, 2024, **** the owner of Premier Paving, contacted my partner, ******* ******, stating they could come out that day and pave the area between the shop and the street. When they arrived (****) asked **** if he was getting a permit for the concrete curb removal which he replied yes he would take care of it. His crew removed the curbing and proceeded to pave the area requested. **** was paid $8,500.00 cash that evening and **** said he would be back the next day to finish because they didn't have enough asphalt. He did not return the next day. **** called and texted many times through the month with no response from ****. On July *******, *** *****, Code Enforcement Officer for the City of *******, came to the house and red tagged the project, which was followed up by a letter dated July 21, 2024, stating that the job was not in compliance and the permit was incomplete. On August 2, 2024, **** sent a concrete company out to pour the approach because the City was requiring that concrete had to be put back where it had been removed. The concrete company unhooked my sprinkler and hose from the water timer which resulted in loss of perennials due to the heat and no water as we were out of town. I sent a text message to **** on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, stating the issues with the concrete company and frustration that the job was still uncompleted and lack of communication, not returning calls and text. **** called me Thursday, August ******, and told me he would reimburse me $500.00 cash out of his pocket and he would personally be at the house Monday August *******. He sent his son **** without the cash and **** told ****, **** would be there the next day, Tuesday, August ******* with the inspector. **** did not show up and we have had no contact from **** since. The job has still not been completed.

On Saturday September 21st, **** sent a crew to seal coat the pavement and he sent a money order for $500.00 for the plant loss. I told the crew that the pavement issues needed fixed and their reply was they didn't have the authority to fix the issues only seal coat which I responded that that was not acceptable.  They told me they can overlay on top of the seal coat.  I sent **** a text message telling him he had until Friday September 27th to show up,  address the issues and have the

I have paid *** the 500 for dead flowers and repaired the driveway to the satisfaction of the city of ************** ,if she has any more problems, I will not be going back out. She was verbally abusive to my employees and very hostile on the phone while I understand she was upset because of lack  communication that does not excuse her attitude. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:  The curb has not been completed and the City did not sign off on the permit.  The permit is classified as expired.  I am very upset that the owner ****, has not taken any responsibility for the lack of communication and poor quality of  work.  Yes I was upset due to the time this project has taken and is still not finished. I will be filing a small claims court case if **** does not complete this project.

    Sincerely,

    ******,
I would like to add some additional information to my response on October 9, 2024,  regarding the response from Premier Paving.  **** has only been to the house on one occasion, on the day the pavement was done, and only to receive his money.  He was given $ ******** in cash and unfortunately we paid him before the job was finished which was our huge mistake, and believe me, one that we regret and will not make again.  Since that time **** has spoken to Bill on maybe three occasions and myself once.  At no time was **** or myself verbally abusive towards **** or his crew.  I only spoke to ****** crew on the Saturday they came to sealcoat the pavement and I told them that the job was unacceptable and then **** went out with the crew to show them the pavement issues,  As **** is claiming I was verbally abusive to him and his crew, I would like specifics as to what language I used that was abusive.  My voice was raised when I spoke with ****, as I was very frustrated with his lack of communication, excuses, and failure to complete the job, along with him sending the cement crew out, unsupervised, and without our knowledge, we were out of town, which resulted in my perennials dying.  I would like recorded proof of my so-called verbal abuse..  If the situation was reversed, and he had completed the job, and we refused to pay him, he would be very irritated and be calling constantly wanting his final payment but because he received his money he doesn't give a c*** about how bad the job his crew did because he has been made whole where we have not.  There was little to no communication by **** or his crew from June to October and the job remains unfinished.  **** has contacted the City of ******* but has not received a call back.  If there is not a resolution I will be filing a lawsuit through small claims court to resolve this issue.

    Thank You,

    *** Melville

We had an addition of asphalt to driveway for new shop build. They did an awful job. We have contacted them several times and they ghost us every time when they are supposed to come look. We had to have it all ripped out and relaid before winter from another company.
