STCU is a brick and mortar business. Yet Im currently sitting In a room at their building talking to a screen for a loan. You sign a screen and have to take pictures of your info and send it. Theres no one to talk to in person anymore or to shake hands with. Theres no feeling good about your loan with someone in person anymore. I might as well just be banking online. STCU is out of touch literally with their customer service. Ive been with ******************** for 25+ years. Its time to be done.

As a long term member, I was at first satisfied with services (as my parents set up the account). It's just been things over the last decade I've been disappointed with.
A quick few: STCU did not notify members when they ceased partnership with another credit union where I could more easily withdraw/deposit funds. No biggie, but not professional to not announce partnership dissolved.
My cards had been having chip malfunctions within six months of each replacement. Maybe poor material used but I know others with different banks that had the same card up to expiration date and I can't really go past six months without some type of malfunction (chip or swipe).
Big one is I fought a dispute over an unauthorized charge to my card; STCU issued a refund BEFORE a complete investigation and 3 months later took it back stating the business I fought with showed I agreed to some term of nonrefundable service I never used (it was a charge to a Greyhound bus line where I clearly proved I never printed nor scanned the ticket).
Another big deal is STCU has not notified me TWICE when my card was frozen due to suspicious transactions. When I asked what merchant was trying to charge STCU refused to release that information.
ATMs at drive through (especially the Northtown Branch) seems to always have one down, and seem to forget to change the sign from OPEN to CLOSE. This last time ALL THREE machines were closed and neon signs clearly said OPEN.
I've sadly seen a degrade in simple things such as ATMs and card malfunction, but the issuing a refund on a proven UNAUTHORIZED charged before a complete investigation and later taking back, as well as not notifying when your card is frozen is plain neglect and disrespectful. I want to continue to support my local credit union, but I may move to online services.

They are racist and I am being discriminated against. You do not want to bank with this trash bank. They say they are non for profit but they really are. A representative just hung up on me and she was very rude. Stay away from this bank if you are any race other than white.

STCU is the biggest clown show of a financial institution I've ever had the displeasure of using. You can't activate a card in person or via the phone. No one will ever explain why, both methods will simply tell you to contact the other. They will lose your bank transactions and never explain why, or follow up, or give you a timeframe for when you can expect a BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT to have accurate records of transactions. They will constantly lock you out of your account, over and over and over again, with no explanation as to why and requiring constant in-person visits to reset the password. Never, ever bank here - ESPECIALLY if you run a business. It's been nothing but horrific for the entire two years we've banked with them. I've moved my personal accounts from the bank and will be moving my business account as well. We wanted to support a credit union, it will never be worth the hassle.
