Company has failed to reimburse me for $950 I paid in registration fees to the CA DMV. These fees were included with the total cost of the vehicle by the dealership. Company failed to send registration fees and taxes causing delay after delay. Company is also withholding the title of the car. The title should have been sent to CA DMV when they FINALLY paid my taxes. I would also like them to reimburse me for any late fees due for failure to register in the time given.

    Hello:

Our title clerk, ******** *******, reached out to our customer this afternoon...

This is the communication from our title clerk:

    Good afternoon,

Got off the phone with ******** and let her know that I was calling California to see what is going on and that I won't have a call back from ********** until tomorrow since it is already late in the day for their call back and let her know the tracking number with all of her title application paperwork that was sent. I also let her know that we do have a licensing refund amount to give her once California confirms lienholder on title. She was frustrated since the chatgpt page on the California website said that they just got the tax fees today and she was concerned that they did not have the title, but everything shows arrived on 3/10, so it's most likely just in line to get processed.

I will call her back tomorrow as soon as I get the call back from ********** to see the timeframe, she is okay with me calling her back tomorrow!

    -******** *******

We will continue to communicate with our customer, ******** ***** to get her vehicle registered in ***********

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

I did not speak with a ChatGPT but two actual agents, who both told me they did not have possession of the title. They also confirmed payment was received for taxes and there was not a duplicate payment on registration. Leading me to my refund for overpayment. Ive now paid for registration twice.

Concerning my refund- I dont know why I have to wait for leinholder confirmation. This is something I already paid for. Reimbursement is due, lienholder or not.

Ive been failed by this company at every single turn. I can also verify I told them twice to send the paperwork to the Sacramento office. The ***** tracking number I was provided today, shows delivery to ************. More time, energy and lost wages for me.

Lets also get to the bottom of why they didnt send my paperwork, fees/taxes to the CA DMV when the car was sold? Back in February!

    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

I hope that check amount of $555.69 is a typo. I paid the dealership $950 for taxes/title registration and I was forced to pay registration again to the *** directly- another $799.00 for a temporary to operate.

Theyve had the registration amount I paid, along with the address they were supposed to send to the paperwork to, since March 5th.

I also paid the Redwood City Jeep Dealership $128.00 to service the Jeep, since they said it hadnt been serviced in years!

    Sincerely,

Will you please email me the repair order from ************ Jeep for the service of $128.00.  I would like to look into reimbursing you if this was a necessary service that was missed by our dealership.

Please email the repair order to:  ************************************************************************.

    Thank you,

I still have not received any further payments from the dealership. I made the mistake of giving them a chance to mail a payment like they said they would in their last response to you.

    Please keep this case open.

The $128.96 was sent to Mr. **** twice on 4/10/25. The receipt shows its from a basic oil and filter change that was NOT completed before the car left the dealership. Ive already been told that cost will be taken care of by the dealership since the car should have been serviced before delivery.
The Jeep dealership in ************ said the car had not been serviced in YEARS.

I have also not yet receive the balance to my registration.

I will resend the oil and filter change receipt to Mr.***.

Since its gone unnoticed. The Jeep had four smog tests, two mechanics, and spend 3 days in the shop. I managed to get all of that at no charge. Costs the dealership would have been responsible for.

    I deserve better.

    Good afternoon,

Our office processed the second half of the refund on 4/16/2025 in the amount of:  $555.69.

The check was sent out the same day.

We will make sure the reimbursement check of $128.96 gets sent out by tomorrow.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

Please clarify the source of the $555.69 charge. I paid the dealership $950 for taxes, title, and registration, but I was also required to pay an additional $799.00 directly to the *** for a temporary operating permit. The $555.69 does not cover my registration costs, and I still have an outstanding balance of $243.31.
