This company was hired by my condo association to manage our property and every time I submit a maintenance request they do not reply to them. I have called and the staff member managing my condo yells at me talk to me inappropriately, arguing with me. She seems very unstable. I have never in over 20 years of owning this property been treated like this and she refuses to take on any of her task complaining that she has back pain and is overwhelmed by emails and has personal issues. We hired them a few months ago and they are not doing their job. How do they have an A rating? They are not qualified to be managing large properties.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/06/2024

The owner was upset about some concrete work that the ***** of ********* of the Association had hired and she was unhappy with the quailty of the work that was done around her back patio door. This project was handled by the ***** of the ********* and its President as the lead project manager. The manager of the community and our office had nothing to do with the project directly. According the President was made aware of the issue by the owner, and taken steps to have the contractor address the concerns.  From my understanding " they did not act fast enought" and she sent 2 emails over the weekend to both the manager and the President. They did not respond over the weekend.  She also created a maintenance request, to which she lobbied several complaints. I did respond, but did tell her that we do not select the contractors, and any issues related to them are the responsibility of the ***** of ********* and their project manager. She thanked me for responding via email and then she proceeded to make her concerns known, only later to find out this was after she had spoken to the manager, who my manager stated the owner was extremely agitated. I instructed the owner to state her complaint of the contractor in the owners portal, and I would ask the manager to contact her the following day. It would appear that my manager due to other issues that came up, did not get back to the owner. The owner contacted me again, and I sent a joint email that she would call her. Then the owner responded she wanted it in email. I said thats fine. Then at some point, she decided to create a rather scathing review on Yelp and filed a complaint with the BBB. The ***** President has responsed to the **** review, and states that she is out of line. My concern is this. She knows good and well, as she served on the community board of directors, that managers work under the guidance of the ***** of *********, and a company is not responsible for projects that are in the control of the board.  Our manager has been managing properties along time, and yes its true she was recovering from back surgery. However, again, she had nothing to do with the contractor, the scope of work, the completion of the project and the sign off. Her anger is misplaced at the manager, when the issue however valid or not is with the ***** of *********, and she needs to address that to the *****, either in writing or in person.  This compliant has no merit against my company or its employee.
