We had a 24' x 36' garage built by ************************************************** in 2015. We have no complaints with the original building. Last fall, we noticed some water staining on the 4 x 4's that come out of the middle of both the front and back of the garage, and some additional water staining along the 2 x 4's. I contacted PermaBilt, and spoke to a sales rep for them. He asked me to email some pictures of the staining, which I did on 11/19/23. He responded on 11/20/23, stating he hoped they could get that taken care of for us, and that he would send them over to the construction team for them to review. I again contacted him on 12/11/23, stating I had not heard from the company, and would he please follow up for me. On 1/17/24, I called the sales rep again (my notes state this was the 3rd time I had spoken to him) and he told me he would talk with the construction manager and personally call me back. I asked him if someone from the company who is building something out our way could stop by and look at the staining. He called my husband at a later date, and the sales rep told my husband that the construction manager thought we had a fungal or bacterial infection in the wood. I called him again on 2/16/24 and told him I had googled pictures of fungus and bacteria on milled wood, and could not find anything that looks like the staining on our wood. He said he would check in with the construction manager and have them call me or send me pictures of infected wood - and he would email me what they said. I did not hear from anyone. On 3/4/24, I called one last time and spoke to the receptionist. She told me the construction manager was out sick, and she would give her a message to call me. To this date I have not heard from anyone. I have never spoken to anyone in the construction department. I would like someone to come out and look at the water staining to see if water is leaking from the roof onto the wood.

Town and Country - Permabilt sent a construction supervisor to our home on 5/2/24. He was very professional, did a thorough assessment of our garage around the areas of water staining, and explained everything to our satisfaction. We do not believe there is a defect that has occurred in the garage. This complaint has been resolved as of 5/2/24.
