    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I understand each artist has their own philosophy at your company; however, I do believe you and your artists should be more forthcoming with deposits being non-refundable. You can protect yourself by just saying that on your website. Because this is our first time shopping tattoos, we learned a few things. I'm hopeful that the deposit will still be good even in 6 months from now, if that is what it takes.

    Sincerely,

***************************** deposit like this should absolutely be refundable in my opinion and am hopeful you can help me resolve this issue with them. I did receive the following email from the shop owner:"Hello,Typically the refund policy is handled by each artist, after speaking to ****** about any further actions, we can offer you a later scheduled date as Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit goes towards design and drawing time as well as for the appointment time. If you'd like to schedule for something in the future he is willing to apply your deposit forward to another tattoo.Thank you for your message and time,ADMIN ASST:- ***** ____________________________Shane ****** Black Flower Tattoo @black_flower_tattoo @briskettatts ************"

    Business Response

    Hi there!

Sorry I didnt see your name in the complaint. Im the owner *****. Im sorry youre having a negative experience with my business. The shop rents space to individual artists. I cant force them to do things especially in regards to money as I dont employ them. I Can make suggestions and if someone is doing something especially grievous let them go, but they are their own entity. Black Flower Tattoo didnt accept your sons deposit or any money from him. Also I see that your deposit is still being honored towards any tattoo your son chooses to schedule. I understand financial insecurity can be stressful, and Im sorry thats happening to him. I feel like ****** offering to honor your deposit at a time when your son is able is reasonable. If the artists all returned deposits every time something changed in their clients lives their financial situation would be even more tenuous than it already is. Deposits are there to protect them from situations where the clients hardships get passed on to them. They spend time and effort to get to the point of scheduling and then hold time in their calendar. If ****** had refused to honor your deposit I would def feel differently, but especially with you stating that you and him would be back for tattoos I feel as if its reasonable. I would love to hear your reasoning, and am in the shop Thursday-Sunday and happy to have a chat with you. Im very easy going and always looking for ways I can improve my business and processes. I am new to owning a business and constantly trying to learn. I hope we can come to a resolution, and look forward to chatting.

Sincerely and sorry if I rambled
