      Do NOT choose Premium Garage Doors to install your garage door and/or motor, ESPECIALLY if you live in ****************** or ********** which the company represents as in its service area. ***** (the owner) is unwilling to follow-up an installation AT ALL with a service call if it inconveniences him, ESPECIALLY if he's already been *********'s a recap...1. During Sept. 2023, I bought from ********** a Clopay garage door (and latest direct drive door motor) to replace my old garage door. Premium Garage Doors was set up by ********** as the installer.2. After several weeks the door was shipped to ***** and he eventually came up to ********** to install it. I also paid him $80 cash that day to install the motor.*** NOTE: ***** reassured me then that if there was somehow a problem, he'd come by promptly to solve it.3. Everything seemed terrific for about a week. Then the door began to sporadically close only about 5-50% of the way down and then reverse itself like an obstruction was hit. Other times it worked perfectly. After a few weeks of observing (trying to see a pattern to the door's behavior) I called ***** to ask him to visit ASAP to see what could be wrong. After several calls/texts over several days, he responded by basically saying he'd never heard of such a problem. I ask him again to come by. He said he would let me know.4. Months of this no-show, no-response pattern continued, well into 2024. Finally when I called him from a different number, he answered and stated he needed a "service ticket" from ********** to come up, especially since he's "not normally in **********."5. Eventually by Summer 2024 (!) HD submitted a service ticket to *****. According to the ********** manager, ***** then would delete the request. This happened repeatedly. HD has no other Clopay installer to refer me to. And I'm out of the 1-year warranty period for the motor (if that's the problem).I'm stuck now with a $4,000+ garage door that only sometimes works properly. :(
