    On 10/22/2020 I purchased a RCK-KS Retrofit kit for my fireplace. Due to having issues with the unit , the unit had to be replaced 3 times from 2020 to 2021. The technician had recommended that if I wanted a better system that I would need to hardwire the thermostat into the system.Also on 9/10/21 the technician made the comment the receiver is in a hard place. Due to continued issues with my unit I had contacted the company that installed my unit again to be informed that they no longer work with the company of the unit they installed. After researching and talking to another Person at a different stove store and reviewing the manual, I found out that the unit was installed improperly and that the receiver needed to be placed out farther to prevent overheating. They never utilized a heat shield in the installation. Due to the negligence of this company with not following Manufacturers instructions on the bottom of page 4 that talks about relocating the receiver farther from the flame , I am writing this negative review of their company in hopes that the company will reach out to resolve this issue of the improper installation of my kit. Thank You
