    In June of 2022 I hired Central Moving and Storage, LLC (United *** Lines) to move my household items (2 bedroom house) from **************** to ********. This company provided my family with the most bare minimum service that they could without obviously violating our contract. My move date was in the month of August and cost over $11,000. This is where the horror story begins. The truck that was scheduled to arrive on moving day was "delayed" resulting in the compromise to load my items onto a local truck and have them moved from the local truck to the cross-country truck the next day. Cross-country truck turned out to have "not enough space" so my items were "containerized". The items have now been moved 3 times. The movers that came to load consisted of 2 very unprofessional (in appearance and action) men that took 8 hours to complete the job. Even though we were verbally assured our items would arrive after a week or so, we received a call informing us that our items were delayed 30 DAYS, the maximum amount out time they were contractually obligated to deliver them. So my family and I slept on air mattresses and ate from paper plates for the better part of a month in our empty home. When this company arrived to unload my items, the driver backed his vehicle into a power line, damaging the siding to my new home and pulling down the live wire. Many of my furniture items were damaged in transit. I did pay extra to insure my items only to be offered insultingly low settlements and have some claims denied because "damage does not appear to have been caused in transit." I am currently disputing these claims. I am still dealing with the damage to my property and household items MONTHS after my move. This company made the moving process extra stressful for my family. I would also like to personally call out the man himself who coordinated this nightmare of a move for me and failed to provide the most basic of customer service, ***********************. Do better *****.
