    My community hired Rainier Asphalt to repave our roads and install speedbumps. The company forced us to pay a deposit then repeatedly pushed our work for other jobs. This pushed out the completion of our work by a year. Second, when the company installed the speedbumps they did not meet the contracted height (3) instead they installed 1.5 bumps. The company came out to fix and installed 4 bumps. The community has reached out to Rainier multiple times to fix and the company refuses to fix their mistake or meet their contractual agreement.

    The facts stated in the complaint are correct, but incomplete. When we returned to reinstall the speed bumps on September 27, 2022, we did, in fact, install them at a 3 height. However, the board president was present on the jobsite and instructed our crew to make them even higher. Her instructions and effective assumption of oversight for the job specifications by force of will were witnessed by our entire crew.

    Rainier Asphalt & Concrete has more than 20 years experience serving Puget Sound clients. We have developed a reputation for warranting our work and are prepared to go above and beyond to serve our clients and protect our reputation. Our arrival on September 27, to redo the speed bumps is evidence of this fact. But in this case the board president interfered with our execution of the rework and bears responsibility for the outcome.

    I am rejecting this response because: one, the work was not overseen for the duration the workers were on site and two, the scope of work clearly started 3 and the speedbumps are not only above the height stated in the scope of work, but the are not a uniform height across each of the installed speedbumps.
