I rent a work space, and have been given a "final"warning?I have been told the events that displace me from using my work space are scheduled ahead of time, and on this occasion I was told it was a last minute event. Last minute events are not on the newsletters. 'I was told they were making an accomodation for me? I have not asked for accomodations. I have asked for people to not walk in on me while I'm leaving the one person bathroom, I have asked not to be randomly touched in small talk or when passing on the way to my work station on the arm or back or leg, I have asked not to be interupted while I am working while people are waiting to use the bathroom which is less than 10 feet from my work station. These are not accomodations. I have not asked for accomodations and I was told that I have asked for them and been granted them.I was told that I was defensive with several employees during the last event, that was short notice and not on the newsletter, and was told that he would give me a note. I received instead a "final warning" and haven't gotten a first warning. I have also not asked for accomodations, even tho I am 100% disabled. I was cited the contracts regarding language and profanity, when the person that crafted the letter is the person i hear using the most profanity, followed closely by two other managers, one of who told me I was being accomodated already and that I was "overacting and had already been defensive with several employees."I have rented space from here to work off and on, for about 4 years now? I have not asked for an accomodation. Staff swear abundantly. I was told the event was both unplanned/short notice, and that it was also NOT and that it was on the newsletter. I need a place to work from. I pay for a place to work. I do not ask to be accomodated. I would like to make a record that I was not given any complaint notification and still do not know what they are discussing...it's been almost 4 years of interactions.

Olympia Lamplighters is a non-profit charity shared-workspace that emphasizes supporting local artists
and makers. Olympia Lamplighters isnt just a creative workspace in the sense of a co-working space
where one can rest their feet and get down to the nitty gritty. Were also there to help members with
that nitty gritty. As a non-profit and space, our number one goal is to help support and mentor our
members goals, whether that be as a hobbyist who wants to get better at drawing, a new professional
who needs help with branding, or a seasoned artist who wants to work with the community.
Our memberships to use our shared-workspace include access to the various areas of the space during
regular business hours. Memberships are paid on a monthly basis at the beginning of each month, and
all members must sign the Olympia Lamplighters Membership Agreement. That agreement has clearly
articulated Conditions of Use, including: be considerate of others; communicate with respect; and
obscene harassing, abusive language, or gestures are unacceptable. While it is uncommon for any
member to violate these conditions, when a members actions are such that these conditions are not
being met, it is our practice to inform the member that their actions are not within the conditions of
their membership and that if further violations occur then their membership may not be renewed or
may be revoked immediately if warranted by the members actions.
In addition to the shared-workspace, our space is also available for events, such as dances, bands,
parties, etc. While most of these events are advertised in our bi-monthly newsletter and our social
media outlets, we are continually working to improve communications with our members. There are
occasions where events are being set up during our regular hours of operations (though the events
themselves are almost exclusively outside of regular hours). When this happens, we strive to minimize
the impact to those members who are actively using the shared-workspaces, and offer alternative areas
to continue working during the course of regular hours.
Olympia Lamplighters appreciates the opportunity to address concerns raised by one of our members.
We continually work towards better communications, planning, and performance of our non-profit
organization. We welcome any additional response or opportunity to continue to make improvements
so that we can best serve our community.
