    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Olympic Blinds located at *************************************************. My experience with this company has been highly unsatisfactory, and I seek your assistance in resolving the issues I have encountered.On March 8th,2024 ********************* arrived one hour and 20 minutes late for his appointment Following this visit, I placed an order for blinds and gave him a check for $3500.00. However, I was dissatisfied with the order, so I contacted him the following business day to amend the order. He informed me that he did not have time to come by, but he will call but never called. Despite multiple attempts to contact him, he failed to follow up as promised. I decided to cancel the unprocessed order but was told I had to pay $1243.26 in fees, including a consulting/measuring fees 1st hour is free $125/each hour total $250.00 (initially promised as a free estimate) and a 20% of cancellation fee of $861.71 which is unjust since the order was never processed.I don't want to lose money; I place an order for $2114.64 on Apr 2nd and told him to mail me remaining balance of *******. Despite multiple requests, I have not received the refund.I seek your assistance in obtaining my rightful refund. The company's practices are deceptive and unacceptable.Thank you for your assistance.Sincerely, *******************

    In May 2022 a representative of the company came to my home and measured for 14-blinds. (11-downstairs and 3-upstairs). I order the blinds and gave the representative a check for $4,200. The blinds arrived sometime in July, 2022 and were subsequently installed at which time I paid the $2,794.95 balance.Someone from the company subsequently did a follow up call in which she asked about my experience with the blinds and installation. I told her I had a problem with the two side windows in the front bedroom and she told be she would pass the information on. I was out of town for several weeks and upon return on September 18, 2022 I sent an e-mail to the company telling them I was following up on my issue as I had not heard back from anyone at the company. On September 20, 2022 I received an e-mail from Shady indicating they had looked into the situation and the supplier made what they ordered We ordered per the spec of the job. If you would like to go out of that spec we would have to reorder it and it would be a separate part fee. We can order it for free but, it will be a $149 trip charge for us to install it. Further she wrote What is the length of the cord you would like? They go in 1 ft increments, we can order yours at 5ft. Let me know what you would like us to order for you?I responded by saying Let me understand this. Your representative came out to my home and measured all of the windows for all of the blinds I ordered. Now you are telling me that I have to pay to correct an error your representative or installer made?On September 21, 2022 I received the following e-mail: I am the owner of Olympic Blinds. I would kindly ask that you come into our showroom so we can discuss this matter further Not a satisfactory response! Someone from the company should have come out and seen the problem, not ask me to come to their showroom. The bottom l line is the installer placed a bracket too low and the cord will not wrap around it.
