      My Rottweiler passed on August 3, 2024. our vet was closed since it was a Saturday, we went to Olympia ************* which is my vets back up. we dropped him off, spent some time with him. We told the technicians that we wanted a private cremation. I filled out the ************* selected to get his remains. I couldn't make the payment that day, which was $288, until I got paid. They said they would place his pick up on hold until I paid. once I got paid, I paid the invoice online. it was about 3 ********** heard nothing back. they sent out an email saying they are moving offices. I thought that was it. I called to get an update. They took a message. a few days later they called me back. when we spoke she told me they cannot find King (my dog). they reached out to 2 of the places they use for cremation & haven't heard back. One for pets where families do not want remains back & for animals that do not have owners. my dog was neither. she said he could have been missed tagged. I asked her how. This is the same vet that cremated my other dog 2 years ago. They told me that they would keep me updated. They have not. i have called numerous times, its I'll leave a message, the person you need to talk to is not here, we still haven't heard back, etc. it seem to be avoidance. They offered to make a memorial if I send them pictures . I declined because I can do that myself. they refunded my money. I went up to the office and was given the run arounds again. i was told the person I need to speak too was not there. I said I could wait. "it will be a while" I said ok, I'm off work so I can wait. I was told they are moving . I said I can go there. I was told they are busy & wouldn't be able to speak with me. I spoke with an attorney. he feels it is negligence& they may be hoping I accept the refund and stop asking. I have not left a review, but I am thinking about it. no one is calling me back. I have accepted that I am not getting my dog's remains back.

      Olympia Veterinary Specialist are scamming their customers. I brought my diabetic dog to them. Dog was vomiting and diarrhea. We arrived at around **** hours. We filled out the paperwork and spoke with a tech. It took almost 2 hours before they brought us a bill; $1500-$1800 estimate. The dog was no seen by a doctor yet. They stated anything not used will be refund in 4-5 business days. We paid it, $1800. Told to go to breakfast and they would call us. Two hours later we arrived back. Still no update. We wait another half hour or so to be told they are still running test. Told it would be another two hours and they would call. We went to the mall. 2 hours later still no call. It is now almost **** hours. We went back to the clinic. We were told they are giving her fluids and want to keep her overnight. I ask why, is she critical? No, but we would feel more comfortable. Is told them no, that we would take her home. They stated that she is getting fluids and we could take her home after that. We waited another 1.5 hours. What IV takes 1.5 hours? At this time no one has told me that we are going above the $1800 and they did not have my authorization to do so. In fact I signed a DNR without my approval order. They brought her out and gave us her medication. I asked if I had to pay for it and was told no, you are all set. Now two days later, I get a call saying the treatment exceeded the $1800 and I owed them $500 more. I think the doctor and the techs are welling meaning but the service received did not equate to the cost and this speaks about the management of Olympia Veterinary Specialist. We actually had our doctor review the treatment provided (which took a bit of work to get them to send it to our doctor) and we now have a different diagnosis. If I knew this going in, I would have drove to Tacoma's 24hr animal hospital. These people are preying on pet owners who are in distress.

      We brought our cat in for emergency services on March 9th around 2pm to the named business. After a terrible all day experience our cat was released to ** under the condition the bill is paid in full. We paid the bill in full with no remaining balance. This was a cash transaction there was no pet insurance involved. I have attached a copy of the receipt and service sheet we were provided. Now we receive an additional bill over a month later for the same service that was already paid in full. We called the vet office directly and they said the bill was an estimate only and we were liable for future charges. I believe this is illegal as we paid the bill in full already and left with our cat.
