2 yrs in a row now, I've had trouble with Burnt Ridge Nursey. Last year, when I ordered half of the plants didn't even try to grow. One of those plants, they topped the tree, before they even shipped it. Odd thing about that, there was another tree in the order that was taller than it. So, why top a tree, effectively killing it? This year, I ordered another tree of the same type that they topped last year, along with a grape vine and a few other things. They've refused to send me the linden tree or grape, saying something about "Due to Mortality". All while the website still shows at least one of them still available for purchase. Terrible, terrible business practice from these folks. I've emailed and still not gotten a response.

11 of the 20 siberian peashrubs are dead, was super easy to tell they were at a glance, they were black and shriveled (they responded that they might come up from the roots... wtf, i bought "2-3ft tall" plants, not roots, plus they're definetely dead, the plants were rotting). 3 of 4 mulberries had problems ($32 each). One mulberry had all the buds dead and the top third dead with some cambium layer damage top to bottom. Another mulberry had poor graft reception, it may heal but it may not; customer assumes risk (don't send out bad grafts). Another mulberry was undersized for a "gallon grown" mulberry. The common ** jujube $48 was 6 inches tall and half dead; I could purchase one in most big box stores for about the same price but that is 4-6ft tall. One plant was missing. Some plants were in perfect shape and took off right away, unfortunately it was less than half of my order. They refunded me $20 for the jujube (should have been a full refund) and for the missing plant.Another big issue: Due to tax returns wiping out saving unexpectedly I asked to cancel on FEBRUARY 19TH. 2 days later they charge me with no response and my order is listed as packed and ready to ship. 5 days later they respond about my request stating that they "can hold my order from shipping" and that I need to tell them if I want to cancel (yet they didn't answer my questions about how much they would charge fo cancellation, they had charged me the initial down payment and just days before the rest of he payment). We decided not to cancel since everything was packed and we didn't know what fees thy would charge (it takes them a week to respond). THEY SHIPPED THE ***** MARCH 14TH. 3 weeks after it was "packed and ready to ship". They packed it with sopping wet newspaper, so the bare root plants sat like that for about a month by the time they got to me. They know thats not right. If you order, order what you can't get anywhere else and order 3-4 plants at a time so you don't take a big loss.
