    My small startup Mecha Mythic Comics paid an invoice in the amount of $1,250.00 on Dec 17, 2023 for two services, a class The Business of Comics and for ****************** Public Relations Pack 4 for my independent comic Osirian Code. Business of Comic class was to cover the basics of being a creator, benefits of LLC, checklist for producing a book, how to set up a brand, creating multiple intellectual properties, and more. Public Relations Pack was to include a number of services aimed at building and advertising a brand and marketing my book including: advertising, online book sales, press releases, podcasts, promotional video production, and interaction with a community of other creators to build a ********** the nearly 11 months since that time, Inked Studios has failed to offer the class, and has not performed any of the marketing services that I paid for, nor established a plan or timeline to do that despite many requests for follow up from me, and many assurances that this would be done from Co-Founder/Creative Director. Inquiries were made about the class and marketing services were made on several occasions including on Jun 12 and Aug 14. Each inquiry was responded with assurances, but no follow up nor action. On Aug 28, I requested a refund for said services, and was promised by the Creative Director I would receive it. On Oct 14, I requested the refund again and was promised that I would receive it. On Oct 3, an invoice (VVF5WUFIR0) for this refund was submitted to the Creative Director, but never acknowledged. On Nov 2, an invoice (#TBAH6WKZAK) was submitted to Inked President ******* *********, and acknowledged, however I was told that my account would be closed and was not available for comment. I am requesting that the BBB intervene in assisting with obtaining the promised refund, and to issue a formal public facing complaint as a caution to other would-be clients until said refund is delivered as promised.

    Mr. **** will be reimbursed the agreed upon amount of $1100. It may be in pieces. Not sure. Depends on what comes in. There has been more going out than in. Bills come regular. Payments will start late February to early March once the crowdfunding season gets in full swing.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    $1100 repayment is accurate and is what we have agreed to, however the statements made about promises to repay beginning February and March only mirror previous promises made and not honored since August 2024. The reason the BBB complaint was made is because the services paid for in December 2023 for Buisiness of Comic training course, marketing and brand-building,  and networking with other creators were not provided, and because the subsequent reimbursement promises were not honored.    

    The statement about inadequate revenue to honor the reimbursement agreements is likely untrue.  As a marketing company, Inked advertises for their customers, so it is clear to anyone following their publicly-facing websites and social media accounts that there have been many new accounts and contracts since August 2024, with revenue streams far exceeding the promised reimbursement.  

    Inkeds expenses or their owners personal finances are not relevant to their failure to provide the paid-for services, or to honor reimbursement agreements.

    This complaint has not been resolved.  The paid-for services (December 2023) were not performed. I have been promised a refund in August 2024, again in December 2024, and again in February 2025.  

    I request the complaint be visible on the Companys BBB page until such time as the refund is provided.  

    My next step will be legal action if the complaint is not immediately resolved.

    The complaint is not yet resolved.  Inked has provided a refund of $350 toward the agreed amount of $1100, with promises to make additional bi-monthly payments in the future.
