I began renting from ******** Self Storage several years ago. At some point Glacier West apparently purchased Edgewood Self Storage. I eventually set up automatic payments with the new company. After awhile I noticed I was being charged more then my rent. I called to ask what this was. I was informed it was for insurance. I stated I was not required to have renters insurance under my lease terms. I also stated I had my own renters insurance. I had had renters insurace since I began with Edgewood. I was told by the manager I would need to submit proof. I called a number of times and spoke to the District Manager at some point. They kept charging me for said insurance even though I told them I had my own. On Decvember 31st 2023 I went to evvnterv the unit andv was locked ouit. I had paidv by rent so therve was no reason to lock me out. After contacvting the customevr service department I waited for the District Manager to contact me back. She finally opened the gate remotley. After vacating the premises I wrote an email detailing why I had to vacate. I again asked for a refund for the amount of the insurance they charged me. I never got a response. After some time without a response I called the storage company and the "new manager" stated she would happily refund me if I sent in proof. I emmailed her proof of insurace and NEVER heard back from her or them. I stopped in the office on Friday and talked to the "manager". She stated they were not going to give me a refund. I still seek a refund for the ****** they stated they would refund me for.

I am late 1 month in storage fees ,I called to take care of this on the last day of Sept. They told me my payment had to be in by 10:00 that night and they would send me an e mail with the address to pay online,I never received the address and they did not answer my calls I got a phone message about 2 days later on Monday saying I owed another month and late fees totalling $300 then I got another phone message stating that they were going to put my unit up for auction on the 20th they do not accept cash payments ,I called and they said that I needed to pay $350 on the 19th today I got another phone message stating that they just found out that I had to pay a $95 auction fee as well by the 19th I received no mail other than voicemail and I only have my card from social security, and no other cards which is difficult for me to deal with! I know being late isy fault but all the extra fees seems wrong to me and is not written in the contract.
