      On May 8, 2023, I hired Ace Landscapers and Tree Services to aerate/thatch my lawn, install soil and reseed, apply fertilizer, trim 2 trees and remove debris from my gutters for a total of $1,300. *********, the owner, indicated he would remove gutter debris using a ladder. Instead he and a coworker walked on the roof. I came out and indicated I didn't want them walking on the roof due to age and they got down. When he completed the job that day, I let him know I was concerned there wasn't enough soil for the grass to take and the soil was composed of many pebbles and rocks. He indicated he had been doing this for years and it was top quality 50/50 blend soil he purchased at ********* and provided me the number to them call to confirm. The following day, 5/9, I contacted him via phone and text to let him know I was not happy with the soil application and product and that he didn't apply any soil near a chicken coupe towards the back of the property. He visited the property on 5/9 and said he was amazed at the quality of the dirt and that grass would grow in 2 weeks and he would come back it if didn't to put down more soil and reseed. He emphasized I was responsible for watering the yard as he instructed (every other day for 20 minutes). I said all the reviews I read online said to water new grass twice daily and he said that was too much.I spoke to ********* and the 50/50 blend used was a dirt compost blend and ********* recommended a sand compost (60% compost/40% sand) blend for yards that have been thatched and aerated. They said they would not recommend the 50/50 blend for yards like mine that had been thatched and aerated. I have tried to reach ********* via phone and text and he is not returning my calls. It has been 2 weeks and little to no grass has grown and I have been watering as instructed. There is also a shingle near the gutter that is no longer adhering to the roof and I believe this was due to them walking on the roof.
