      My name is ********* ******, and my daughter was attending Elite school of dance in ******** **********. I had signed her up for contemporary camp in May of this year. I was able to pay in two Installments, so I paid ******. No where did it say is was non refundable . When I realized I wouldnt be able to afford the second payment, I went dow to the school and spoke with the female owner about the refund because ei couldnt afford the other half, she said oh, well how about instead of a refund, Ill put it on your account as a credit. I then said ok, Ill use it when I sign her up for classes. Fast forward to now, I have emailed them multiple times regarding my refund, because my daughter is going to another dance school thats more affordable. I still havent heard back from the emails, so I then went for to the school again, where I spoke with the receptionist about my refund and she said she will email the owners and let me know. That was about 2 weeks ago. Ive called multiple times and the receptionist said that the owners havent emailed her back. I called gain today and the receptionist said she will call them and call me back. When I got the call, the receptionist told me the owner said the ****** deposit is no refundable. Which is not true. I was never told that nor would I have put that much down if it was non refundable. I am a full time student and a single parent that relies on my financial aid to live , so I know that I would never had put that down if it was non refundable. I need help getting my money back. I also still have the emails regarding the deposit and no where does it state its no refundable. Thank you,********* ******

      ********* ****** had signed up for a summer dance camp in the spring of 2024.  When registering for summer dance camps there is a non refundable 50% down payment that is only given back if the camp is cancelled due to not enough enrollment.  This is why the 50% deposit is required at the time of enrolling in the summer camps...to make sure that our families who are signing up for them are committed to participate.  

      When we were notified that she was charged for the deposit amount and didn't attend the camp we went and credited her studio account $125 that she could use for classes or Dancewear.  She then told us via email that she was no longer attending our school and was calling it in to the BBB.  Once we found out that she was not returning to our Studio, her card was refunded back the $125 and she was emailed the receipt showing the amount refunded.  

       We've been in business for almost 40 years and very rarely deal with problems like this because we do care about our customers.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      They lied in their response. Yes, they did refund me after I made my complaint to the BBB, they did not issue a refund because I was no longer attending that school, they told me I could only have credit  even though I was attending the school, and that I can use it for drop in classes. When they finally saw my complaint with the BBB, thats when they issued a refund. I wish to longer communicate with this business.
