    My son started flying lessons with Spanaflight in 2019. Everything went well, he soloed, but lost interest in flying for a career and decided to take time off from flying for awhile while being busy in an apprenticeship he got into. Spanaflight offered a discount of lessons and rentals if you keep a balance in your account of over $500. So, we figured wed try to keep the balance above that for the discount. (My son was 15 when he started with them and payed for almost all lessons himself).September of 2022 I asked for a reimbursement on my sons account, in his name. I waited for almost 3 mos while they were changing to a new computer system. Since then, *** contacted the owner every couple of weeks (by text) and he has a different story every time. It is now March 1st and still no refund. They owe my son about $450. He could sure use the money to buy tools for his career, (which is what that hard earned money was intended for) not to be stolen, which after this long, I am treating it as stolen.Thank you for hearing **** would like this unspent money reimbursed.

    I began flying with Spanaflight in Late July 2022. I enjoyed the instructor and the discovery flight I had taken and wanted to fly more. So I deposited $2500 in order to get a better hourly rate. I had flown several different times with them until my instructor decided to change to another flight school. I wanted to follow him to that new school so I had requested to withdraw the remaining balance I had on my account. I had initially requested for my remaining funds to have been withdrawn in Sep 2022 when I contacted the owner, *********************. I had not heard back from them in over a month so on Oct 13, 2022 I reached out to **** through text message again. He said he will reach out to accounting to determine the funds that need to be withdrawn. I had not heard back and on Oct 19, 2022 I reached out to **** again by text to check in. He then said the accountant is auditing her account and that she will get back to him next week. More than a week goes by and I reached out again by text on Oct 31, 2022 and also requested the ability to reach out to his accountant directly. He said he reached out to her and will let me know what she says as soon as he hears back. I then requested a good phone number or email to contact his accountant which he denied giving me inviting that he would "manage the contractors" and proceed to say it was a breach of contract for him to give out the phone number of his accountant to individual clients of Spanaflight. I then asked for records of how many hours of flight time I had had with Spanaflight which he was not able to give me. I have also never received any receipts of the time that I had flown with Spanaflight. My only receipt was the discovery flight which was already paid off. I have made no progress in getting my funds back and feel like I am being given the runaround. It has been months and all I ask for is my money returned to me along with a breakdown of the time I have flown with them for my records.

    My daughter **** took flight lessons from Spanaflight in 2021. I have been trying to get a reimbursement for the balance ($1300) we have on her Spanaflight acct since Feb 2022 when she decided to no longer continue flight lessons with them. I have called monthly and been told by staff the checks in the mail, the person who does refunds is on vacation, the owner **** will call me back, owner has *****, etc. I have asked for **** or ***** to please call me. At no point has ***** or **** returned my calls or responded to my email. My daughter starts college this month and we need our refund.

    Yes, I am the person who purchased the flight time for my daughter ****.  Since filing the initial complaint with you I reached out to Spanaflight 1more time and was told by **** the owner that a check was in the mail to my daughter.  (That is fine with me). Its been. Fingers crossed the check actually comes.
