I am rejecting this response because: The lack of honesty and accountability displayed by the business owner is deeply disappointing. It is unacceptable to deceive customers by creating a refund policy after the fact, especially when they have already paid a significant amount of money for a service that will no longer be provided. Taking advantage of multiple customers in this manner is not only unethical but also reflects poorly on the integrity of the business. It is crucial for the business owner to rectify this situation by promptly offering refunds to all affected customers and taking responsibility for their actions.
refund due to the closure of the business and the cancellation of the training. Unfortunately, they were uncooperative and failed to provide any valid refund policy, as they closed their doors to their business and disregard honesty in anyway.Overall, it is important to note that they have not fulfilled the service for which payment was made as the business is closed and the training is cancelled. It is also important to note that the business has opened and closed multiple business licenses (at least 4) in the past 4 years, most likely in attempt to get away with situations similar to this one.In conclusion, the services are not being rendered, the training is cancelled before completion, the business is closed, there is no documented refund policy, and the business refuses to give a refund.Business Response

The complaint received is claiming our business closed. This information is incorrect. We have moved locations 0.8 miles away from our old location. The person who issued this complaint was given notice that the training she was a part of would be put on hold while the business moved locations. The training was scheduled to resume once the business moved. She decided to drop out of training and demanded a refund when notified of the change of venue after attending several weeks of the training course. She was sent an email by our accounting department that stated the training is non-refundable and was provided proof that she was given this information when she purchased the tuition for her training course.
The complaint also states that we have opened and closed 4 business licenses in the past 4 years. This information is also incorrect. We originally opened our business in our home and moved inside a gym just over a year after we opened. We had to get a different business license as our new location was inside different city limits. After being at that location for a year and a half, we were informed the building was being torn down to build a hotel there- so we moved to a new location a half a mile away and had to get a different business license because it crossed the border into a county licensing area instead of a city license. We were at that location for 4 years and have now moved back across the line into a city out of a county licensing area and had to get a different license for that. The 4th license was for a different business that is an online only platform. Her information is incorrect and misinformed.
She was angry that she could not get a refund for a course that she had attended several weeks of. She didnt even ask for a partial refund- she wanted a full refund. She not only attended several weeks of the course, she also took advantage of an unlimited membership and attended several classes at our facility outside of the training. She disputed the $2500 charge with her credit card company after we informed her that her tuition was non refundable and we received a chargeback. So she got her refund due to the chargeback, received a free training, and a free unlimited membership for several months.
I hope this helps explain the situation better. The person who complained about our company took a training course previous to this one and received a certification with us. She wrote a very nice review and was excited to attend her second training with us. She became disgruntled because we were forced to move the location of the training less than a mile down the road and had to put the training on hold until we had moved. We tried to resolve it by offering her a different training date and she refused.
Here is a copy of her review from her first training:
I had an incredibly positive and transformative experience. *****, the teacher trainer, and owner of Hot26 School of Yoga, provided a nurturing and supportive environment that allowed me to deepen my understanding of yoga and develop my teaching skills. My daily practice of asanas, pranayama, and the weekly discussions helped me cultivate a sense of self-awareness about what yoga really is beyond the physical benefits. I am feeling a stronger connection to my body, mind and spirit, and I am learning to listen to the subtle cues and messages they send me.
The training also introduced me to the philosophy and principles of yoga, which expanded my perspective and knowledge. I am continuing the great work of integrating the teachings into my daily life, along with journaling and self-study. The guidance and wisdom shared by such an experienced and knowledgeable teacher is invaluable, and ****** passion for yoga and her students is evident in the way she guides, trains, and teaches yoga. I feel inspired and motivated to share this ancient practice with others and guide them on their own transformative journeys.
Overall, I rate this teacher training a 10/10. The reason for this rating is because it was an incredibly positive experience that challenged me in a transformative way. From the beginning, I knew I was going to be pushed out of my comfort zone in a positive way that would encourage personal growth. The training also provided plenty of opportunities for hands-on teaching practice, which helped boost my confidence. This yoga teacher training was a life-changing experience that not only deepened my personal practice but also equipped me with the tools and knowledge to start guiding others on their own yoga journeys. While I thoroughly enjoyed the training, I must admit that I have a positive complaint, I wish it was longer!Business Response

Regrettably, I find myself unable to maintain direct communication with the business owner due to their alarming and seemingly delusional perception of reality. I am afraid for my safety at this point. The discovery of their impending legal issues, including assault charges, has further intensified my concerns. It is crucial that the business owner be held accountable for their unethical business practices, which have now come to light.Customer Answer

Purchased an annual membership in June 2022, requested to cancel and get refunded for the membership in Sept 2022 due to frequent changes in the schedule that made it impossible to attend a class. I did take one other online class in Oct to see if that worked but it does not either. I reached out via the Fit by Wix app that we use to sign up for classes and had a chat conversation about my concern and was told since i used the membership it was not refundable. I did not sign a contract and it doesn't say it anywhere the terms of the membership. All I received was a receipt of payment. She refused to refund my money and I went to another facility that met my schedule needs.
