    I had an appt. with Dr. ********************** on 8-2-23, for a routine cleaning, exam and xrays. Her receptionist had quit, so she said she could not give me an estimate. I agreed to having the services, she specifically ask me if i wanted "deep root cleaning" I said absolutely not. Her assistant proceeded with a routine cleaning and xrays. She said i had 3 cavities that needed to be filled. On 8-23-23 i returned to have 3 cavities filled that she said i had. At that point the bill had not been submitted to insurance, i told her, i didn't want to go over my $1000.00, so i needed to know if this was going to exceed that. She said "no". I returned on 12/6/23 for a follow up, all of the fillings she did fell out, the new receptionist told me i needed to pay my bill before i could go back. I said "what bill" she handed me a bill for $240.20. I called my ins. right then, they had not submitted to ins. as of that day. I also noticed there was a charge for "periodontal scaling and root planning" this was never done. A regular cleaning, ins. pays about $90.00. This, scaling and root planning, Ins. pays around $300.00. i have made repeated attempts to solve this, she has defrauded ******** by this charge. They did reduce to ******. not sure why. The first bill i received was 12/6/23. Ins. had not been submitted. i am left with 3 holes in my teeth, now have to find new dentist. i have called, left several messages, Dr. ********************** has not called me back.1-8-24, 1-9-24, 2-13-24, I have spoken to my ins *** next step will be to put in fraud claim. I want them to take off the $******, and send me a -0- balance statement. I just hope that the damage to my teeth is repairable. Scaling is done below the gumline, in order to remove bacterial deposits and toxins. This is the succeeded by root planing which attempts to scrape of infected cementum on the root of the tooth, done with numbing of gums, gums were not numbed during cleaning. typical scam.
