      On 2/1/23 I made a reservation to stay at the hotel through expedia. When we arrived to the hotel I was asked for a card for any incidentals. We learned that they did not have a restaurant, room service or laundry as advertised. I had already paid for the room through expedia so I was not sure why they needed a card since they had not services or products that we would charge to the card but left it in good faith. We checked the next day and proceeded on our trip. When I arrived in ************ about a week later I saw that my debit card had a $450.00 deduction from that hotel. When I called to find out what they charged for the desk clerk informed that the bathroom door had been damaged and a hole in it. I replied that I had done so such damage and asked to speak with the manager and was told that she was not currently available. I asked that she call me and left number and did not receive a call back. I called the next day and was told that she does not deal with these type of things and was told to contact their maintenance or house keeping staff. I was not given names or numbers again by the desk clerk and found it odd that the property manager does not deal with these type of issues. Attempts to speak to anybody that could assist me were futile. I did not do any type of property damage and was not provided with any recourse to challenge this charge. As someone who has done extensive home remodeling I know what doors cost and any door that i could put a "hole" in would be a hollow core door and not cost $450.00. This a large property and the clerk said they had before and after pics of the door which I find rather fantastical that a property with over a 100 rooms would have that sort of detail with any particular room or bathroom door. Again, I did not damage and the property of this business.

      We appreciate your feedback regarding this incident. 
      I sincerely apologize for the miscommunication through the Expedia site or at the property. We have always offered laundry facilities at our property, as well as a free breakfast buffet, separate from the restaurant.While we advertise a handful of restaurants in the area, our restaurant on-site has been a recent addition to Expedia, and only operates for lunch and dinner.While our on-site restaurant offers event catering to other areas of our property, they do not offer room service. Again, I apologize for any miscommunications in that regard.
      We do inform all travelers on our Expedia site, under Important Information, that a Government-issued photo identification and a credit card may be required at check-in for incidental charges, as well as a Service fee: USD **** per accommodation, per night. The incidental charges were explained and acknowledged with your initials upon check-in.
      I understand that an unexpected charge after arriving in ************ was surprising. Unfortunately, we did not receive word from you at or prior to 11am (check-out time) by phone or in-person. After damage was reported by our staff, our property manager attempted to notify you via the telephone number provided to ** by Expedia, on 2/2/23 of the charges. I apologize that you were unable to discuss this further with someone at the property. I will reach out to the email provided here, so you may also have my information, to address this in depth.
