It was overall a good experience until they lied to me.This is a co-ed facility, there are no locks on any of the bedroom doors. Sometimes clients have mental health problems that *** endanger your safety - I had the great experience of being threatened to be shanked. The staff reassured me I'd be fine and did nothing about the other client. Scary. But, I decided to lean into the experience because the classes are very helpful to recovery. Just as I was adjusting and really getting into the recovery process they sprung on me a lie. They said my insurance was requiring I go to their PHP (same as IOP) program but you have to live in ************ adjacent to the rehab facility. I called my insurance and they had said no such thing. It was just Recover Village trying to fill beds and make a profit. It told them I didn't want to interrupt my current treatment plan and didn't like being jerked around and sought IOP elsewhere. I don't do business with liars.Plus, they said I was basically cured and had completed inpatient rehab for only in 14 days! I was at the peak of cravings and wanting to use again. I was literally a mess when it came to my addiction. So they released me. It was just after switching up my meds. I was spiraling and headed towards suicidality but it didn't seem to matter to them. I had a very unsafe discharge with no relapse prevention plan in place. I felt it was more about money. They also stole meds hat I had paid for upon my discharge and they had staff testing positive for COVID come to work.1:1 counseling sessions are more about case management than counseling and you have a 1:1 only once a week so make sure you get a real therapist once you get out!Classes are taught by SUD professionals and are really the best thing about this program. You attend class for about 6 hours per day. Too bad mine were cut short due to their greed. It was the saddest part about them graduating me early - I missed out on a lot of very necessary learning.
