    Refrain from visiting this establishment if you identify as female. Additionally, do not send female subs here, as they will be instructed to leave their purses at the counter. Instead of valuing their customers, they prefer to treat everyone as a convicted criminal looking to rob them. Most establishments with bag policies do not explicitly include purses in their restrictions, except for those that are exceptionally large. From what I have gathered, they are also quite impolite about enforcing this policy. I commend her for choosing not to purchase the items she was sent there for due to this interaction.
    It is highly probable that if you are reading this; you or someone you know have also encountered some form of discriminatory behavior from them given other reviews I have seen on Yelp, and Google. This seems surprising to me, considering that the owners themselves are a couple likely intimately aware of the various forms of discrimination and its effects. That coupled with the stores location I would have expected more robust loss prevention measures and training to be in place. As she was very shaken by the whole experience and is not a thief she didn't notice if there was any of the other standard measures in place.
    During her exploration of Capitol Hill, she visited various stores. This was the sole incident that transpired, despite the discomfort she experienced on the sidewalks. All of the other stores were accommodating and helpful when she approached them with inquiries after browsing.
