On 11/06/2023, I took my vehicle (2022 *********************** to Emily's Garage in ****** for a regularly scheduled oil change. On 11/07/2023, on my way to work as I was driving south on the I-5 near ***********, my engine shut off without warning, and I had to try to safely pull over to the side of the road. While stopped, I attempted several times to turn on my car without any success. I ended up having to tow my vehicle over to my car dealership **************** in ******. They conducted a diagnostics of my car and reported that "whoever did my oil change" did not perform it correctly. Car Pros provided the diagnostics report that the tech who performed the oil change did not remove the drainage plug from my car's oil filter when it was installed with the drainage plug still intact. The oil filter is specific to my vehicle. With the intact drainage plug still in the oil filter, it caused a blockage in the engine which led to the total and complete failure of my engine.I have made several attempts (3x in person and multiple times via email) to settle this situation with the owner (*******************************) of Emily's Garage in ****** with no sufficient response. I have also pleaded with ******** to settle this without having to turn to litigation with no sufficient response. ******** has been very unprofessional and paranoid, accusing me of trying to scam them and accusing me of harassing one of their managers, whom I only spoke to once for less than a minute. I have been professional and courteous in all my interactions with Emily's Garage.Currently, there has been a back-and-forth with Barnabus, and ******** demanded that I tow my vehicle over to their shop in ****** so they can verify the damaged engine, but, for practicality's sake, I requested ******** for them to send over one of their mechanics or a rep to inspect and verify my vehicle that is located at **************** in ******. No sufficient response as of this writing.
