      I have been at Washington Federal Bank for over 30 years. I was buying a new house recently, and they do not work with an online mortgage app called PLAID. I had to change all my information and use my other account, ****************, to get my application done. It went through just fine then and I now own that house. I will never use Washington Federal Bank again, I don't even know what Century they think they are working in. This is a crucial thing to be available for, and I know they aren't very savvy about financial things but this is pathetic. I will be taking my money out of there **** as soon as my next mortgage payment in my old house is paid. It is lucky I had another bank I was working with. I do not recommend this Bank.

      Most ridiculous protocols EVER. I changed banks to support a more local option. Their app was recently updated, and is even worse. One screen sits there for so long, I think it's frozen. Although my external accounts are linked, I can't transfer from them. I have to initiate it from the other bank because **** only does Zelle or wire. It's the only financial institution where I have to call to update my address. I jump through their many authorization hoops, the *** tells me calling in is a security measure, and now, 2 business days later, I've received 4 confirmation letters of the address change. I'm definitely changing banks as soon as possible. They know I have a Direct Deposit on the 3rd of each month, and have twice dinged me an NSF the day prior or day of. They refuse to reverse it.

      ***** assistant bank manager has singled me out by going thru my account questioning every transaction I made on my account when I just had gone thru drive thru trying to deposit 800 cash left me there forever going thru my account when she should have just deposited my cash and when she came back to the window she proceeded to be rude to me telling me shes gonna close my account and asking why I did this transaction and that transaction and she sti;ll hadn't deposited the cash into my account because she didn't give me a balance slip or anything why would it be any employees place at a bank to do this to a new customer? its not up to her its up to the bank who they allow or approve to have an account not *****'s decisions this is a violation of privacy not to mention discrimination this is horrible business practice when you want people to trust you with there money not a good bank and more importantly judgmental discriminatory controlling employees you cant trust with your money or privacy of account activity all when I just wanted to deposit cash you have got to be kidding me this is a horrible place for anyone to bank at

      My account with Washington Federal got shut down for no reason by a certain branch. I would like an apology since they have made my life harder and everything overall harder for me to do things with banks. I would like a verbal apology from Washington Federal because of what they have done to me for not telling me why my account got shut down. I was doing normal things on the account and for some reason one day I tried moving money from my savings account to my checking account and the money moved over with no problems. Then the next day I tried logging on and it didn't let me log on, so I called the branch and kept calling them every hour and they kept ignoring me, so I drove down to the branch near me, and I stood waiting there for 30 minutes with no one acknowledging me, so I left. So, all I am asking for is a verbal apology for all the hardships Washington Federal has caused me and an apology for the horrible customer service this bank has. I would also like an explanation to why my bank account got shut down for no reason because my account was all being normal.

      Last December when I opened a savings and checking account at Wafd, I was very impressed with the helpful, friendly bankers. The only glitches in the process were caused by the ****************************** and ***** Fargo. At first receiving ***********, using an ATM, and issuing checks went well. But, I soon learned that as long as I didn't need anything through the online bank, my experiences continued to be good. But the online experience can be frustrating. Wafd's software seems to be old and clunky. It doesn't allow me to do the types of activities I can do within my USAA account. I will probably not close the account, but I will down grade my usage to minimal old-fashioned style banking.
