Service requested was to replace a Cutlass/prop shaft bearing. They did not even perform the work themselves, they subcontracted the work to a outside company and laborers that I did not authorize. That also created a communication issue as receiving updates was basically impossible. That service was completed and the invoice was paid in full. This was on 4/10/2025. The vessel was removed from drydock and set in the water on 4/11/2025, and I recieved the boat. I didn't even make it home and the shaft and coupler (parts that were removed for the work and reinstalled) came apart from each other. I was able to get the boat back to their boatyard and was there in the morning waiting for them to open. Seaview agreed to haul the vessel out of the water at no charge so that the subcontractor could fix the problem. I would have never used Seaview West had I known the work would be subcontracted out to a non employee. This alone has made this very hard to get clear communication and scheduling. The boat was left at Seaview boatyard when they arrived Monday morning on 4/14/2025 for the job to be corrected, I have had very minimal communication as I cannot get email replies or the service writer on the phone to answer any questions. The boat has been in Seaview West possession since March 4th 2025. During that time I have had to pay 2 months of moorage fees at the ****** when I have not had possession of my boat. Every trip I take to go over to pick up the boat has cost me a day's work and $100. They have been paid in full for the service to be completed correctly and by a competent employee of Seaview West. I have had to leave the boat with them as I cannot get it anywhere else because of the failure. They need to warranty their work and complete the repair.

This was an unfortunate situation.  We resolved the issue.  Yes, the resolution took way too long.  If I have the timeline correct, the customer took the boat away two days after filing the complaint.  To my knowledge, the charges are not in dispute.
