      I rented a breast pump from Nurturing Expressions for several months in 2023. The contract that I signed said they would charged $90 + tax (so $99) to insurance. They charged $99 + $59.09 to my insurance instead and claimed that whoever wrote up the contract on their side made a mistake. My insurance covered this for the majority of the rental but did not pay the "upgrade" fee for two of the months.Nurturing Expressions threatened to send my account to collections a couple of months after insurance didn't pay, so I spoke to both my insurance and Nurturing Expressions multiple times to figure out the issue. I found out that the "upgrade" fee is the in-network discount (so insurance pays $40 out of the $99 and because they don't get the full $99, they charge an extra $59 to cover the difference). I also found out that my insurance does cover the "upgrade" fee, but made a mistake on those two claims and they said they will send Nurturing Expressions a check. I immediately let Nurturing Expressions know. This was at the end of April 2024. Premera sent them a check on June 22, 2024.Starting in December of 2024 I started getting phone calls from a collection agency about my outstanding "debt" to Nurturing Expressions.

      We have identified a billing error on our part and have communicated directly with the client to acknowledge the mistake. Her account has been updated to reflect the correct information, and it has been pulled back from the collection agency.
      The client expressed surprise at being sent to collections, as she felt blindsided by the situation. In response to her request, I emailed her a copy of all reminders and notices related to her delinquent status today.
      We are pleased to report that this matter has been resolved with the client. Additionally, we have updated our internal processes to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
