  El Corazon is connected to a bar called ********. This setup is used by the business owner as a loophole to sell more concert tickets than they know is safe, because they can base their limit on the number of people that can fill both spaces, while only using one to host concerts. They have no problem cramming hundreds more people into the concert hall than can comfortably fit and have no regard for the health or safety of anyone who sets foot inside. It's common sense that people are not buying concert tickets to sit in a bar where they can't see or hear the band. The owner ignores complaints about the misuse of space because he only cares about making as much money as possible, not being a quality music venue. If the BAND performing in your space has to stop performing to hand out water bottles to their audience because it's so hot and crowded, that should be a wake up call to you. Disgusting, greedy behavior from this business.

  El Corazon and The Funhouse are two separate live music venues (to be clear both are Music Venues and have bar areas that sell beverages) that reside in the same building and share bathroom space. The building was built in 1910 and has been a dance hall and/or live music venue since its inception.  The current owners have been operating El Corazon since 2004 and added original Funhouse ownership and renamed the second venue The Funhouse in 2016.  We do not sell tickets to either venue above our legal occupancy and never have.  We are regularly visited by the Fire Marshal (both scheduled and unscheduled visits - including sold out shows) and never received as much as a warning (no citations) in over 20 years of doing business - over 450 events per year. Safety is of primary concern to patrons, our staff and our performers.  Since the building was built in 1910 there is no air conditioning.  ******* have been increasingly hot here, and when you have a show in the summer months that is full or nearly full it can get very hot.  Both venues are primarily standing General Admission (no seats or assigned seats) so people are close together.  The water being distributed to the crowd is water purchased by the venue and provided to die hard fans who do not want to leave their place in front of the stage but need to be hydrated and healthy.  This reviewer did not make any direct complaint to our managers on duty or contact our office or management directly.  We will always engage with any patron who has some concerns all they have to do is ask/engage.  This can be done on site by asking for a manager on duty or via email at ****************************************
