      I took my wedding dress to get it professionally cleaned and pressed at Corry's Fine Dry Cleaning. The dress was given back to me on Sep 18th which was 2 days before my wedding but it came back damaged. Below is the summary of the damage: Blind hem destroyed Shrinkage - the dress was hemmed to touch the ground with the shoes on. Now it's visibly a couple of inches off the ground Lace damaged Lining damaged The dress came back all wrinkled I have photo evidence that I'm happy to share. The business is still in possession of my dress. I have requested to be compensated for the cost of the dress ($900 + tax for the dress +$900 for the alterations) and the cleaning ($309.75 + tax). The business only agreed to refund the cost of cleaning. I was forced to wear a damaged dress on my wedding day. To compensate me for the destroyed item is the least they can do seeing how I don't get to fix my wedding day.

      Thank you for reaching out. Ms. Kujtkowska did receive and sign a waiver which we require on all wedding gowns for the possibility of damages. She was refunded $341.81 via check for the total cost of the cleaning.

      I am rejecting this response because: The waiver I signed does not absolve the service provider of their responsibility to adhere to the terms of the service agreement, nor does it excuse them from liability for negligence.


      I entrusted my wedding gown to this business with the expectation that it would be cleaned according to the specific details provided to me, which included individual cleaning and pressing by a professional. This process was initially quoted as taking a week. However, when a stain on the dress was not properly cleaned and resulted in discoloration, the issue was purportedly rectified within hours. This raises serious concerns about whether the dress was indeed handled with the promised level of care and attention.

      Furthermore, I explicitly requested information regarding the cleaning method used and the reasons behind the extended timeframe and higher cost compared to regular dry cleaning. I was assured that the gown would be individually cleaned and pressed, a claim that now appears questionable given the rapid turnaround for the second cleaning.

      Hello,
      All of our Wedding Gowns are cleaned in the order they
      are received. They have a 1 week turnaround. We also do not guarantee
      stain removal, but are always happy to give is a complimentary redo if
      not able to be removed the first cleaning.
      When an issue arises
      with a Wedding Gown it is sent to the front of the line, hence the
      faster turnaround on the second cleaning. The gown was cleaned according
      to the specifications of the gown. It was handled individually, pressed
      by experts and packaged for pick up.
      You have been refunded the
      cleaning fee as a 1 time courtesy. The waiver was presented to you,
      signed by you and also emailed to you as requested

      We will not be further compensating on this issue
