  I went to this gym about 15+ years ago. It was a nightmare to cancel that I can remember. All the sudden I notice they recently started to charge me again? How is this? This is straight stealing from my account. About 1 year of charges out of nowhere.

  This company is fraudulent. They demand access to your checking account in order to charge fraudulent fees and refuse to allow you to leave their gym. The only way to terminate your membership after joining is to work with your bank and perform an ACH transaction block on their business name. They'll likely attempt to steal money from you in a multitude of ways after that. There is no scummier or more pathetic business I've ever dealt with than this one. I would be embarrassed to be associated with this business. I would give 0 stars if I could. Calling it a gym business is a stretch, it's closer to an embezzlement/fraud ring using the gym as a front.

  I pay about 80$ per month i tried to cancel my membership and they always call when im asleep due to work etc ive been trying to cancel for two months now while my cards been getting charged theres no way to take your bank info away from them once they have it they will make it a headache just to cancel they STILL havent cancelled it and i just got another 84$ charge. Im going to my bank to report theft this gym is a absolute joke they will squeeze every dollar out of your membership

  I walked into this gym hopeful that it would be my new workout spot of choice. That changed very quickly.I mentioned that I was considering local gyms, and was asked where else I'd looked. I expect companies to sell their own offerings based on merit and found this ask ridiculous.A tour was offered, however I explained that I could see everything I needed from where I was standing and one wasn't required. I then asked, very simply, what the monthly cost would be for access to the equipment in just the current location and to be given a copy of the terms and conditions.I was told that dues "start from $29 a month" and that there are no terms and conditions to hand out as "all of that is covered during the tour".The organisation is driven by upsell and the staff present were quite disingenuous when asked why they couldn't answer a basic question directly, flippantly stating "Well, perhaps we're not the gym for you".It is clear that staff are heavily scripted when prospective customers are involved with a focus on upsell.

  I had to leave after being racially abused by a trainer (******), who told me after class that I smelt like garbage and should shower. This was blatantly false and clearly racially motivated as I was the only colored person in the gym and did not smell any better or worse than the rest of the class. The gym manager *** failed to act and fire the racist employee.Later I learnt that this is a scammy company with over 60 complaints filed with the ********** attorney general. They are currently under investigation. Last year, their CFO was imprisoned for stealing money from customers accounts.

  Hey! I joined this gym back in August and was told the rates would be $17, buuuut that was not for the whole gym, which seemed dishonest that it was advertised as $17 but no, I pay around $40 every month. I was also not told about the amount of startup costs and ended up almost not being able to pay rent that month because again, the owner of ******* Emerald City Athletics, decided to be dishonest and not advertise the truth. I am paying so much for college since I am a medical student that I decided I could no longer afford this membership. However, again, this young blond man did not tell me the full truth when I signed up. He also bribed me to take down my previous bad review with money. My membership is not cancelable unless I move 25 miles away from every possible ECA there is, or die. There was no sympathy from this dude, he grinned knowing full well he had just successfully scammed another person. My friend got the same response when he tried to cancel his. Their website gives a cancellation request but it is meaningless because as the desk person told me, it is not cancelable.
