I bought 2 knives in separate transactions, and both handles were defective. They repaired the first knife. I called in to request a mailing label to return the 2nd knife as well. ***** would not send me the label, and asked that I wait for the next day for ****, the original salesperson to call me. After about 5 days I called back for ****. Once again ***** picked up the line. He told me that **** emailed me the label the next day. I had searched for it but hadn't seen it, but the point is that ***** told me that **** would call me. He said nothing about **** emailing me the mailing label.***** became abusive, with a patronizing attitude, told me that I should have checked my email before calling in. I replied, "...but you told me **** would call me." I checked my emails, but while on the phone with it my search indeed found the email. Cool. I'm clueless why I couldn't find it the prior 2 attempts, but that's neither her nor there. ***** then stepped up his rudeness by saying, "You should have checked for the email before calling." In written form, this sounds fine, but in the manner he said it was abusive. Oh boy, I got upset. I held my breath at the beginning, but then when he pushed again, that was the last straw. I told him, "how dare you speak to me like that! You told me **** would call, and he didn't. I did check my emails by the way, and couldn't find it. ...but for you to be so rude and patronizing toward me is uncalled for! This is terrible customer service and you should be ashamed. Try being nice."He hung up on me. I returned the knife for replacement. I received an email that they would not be sending me my replacement as per written & verbal contract, but instead returning my payment. Indeed a few days later the check arrived. That was twisting the knife in the back (no pun intended), making a point he wouldn't take responsibility for his rude behavior. All ***** had to do was apologize, and calm me instead he riled me up.
