    Hello BBB team,

Thank you for taking the time to review my complaint. We have been storing our boat at ******** ****** for the past 3 years and they, under new management have begun engaging in aggressive price increase tactics for their existing moorage customers. Our moorage agreement started in June of 2021 at $435 per month, increased to $440 in 2022, then $477.60 in 2023. I fully expect them to increase the rate again in 2024.

More recently we have added a storage unit on to our monthly moorage rate. This started in 2022 at $60/month and has continued in 2023 at $60/month. Brining our total monthly rate to $537.60

The complaint I have with Boat World Marinas is related to a price increase we were notified last week about. They are will be increasing the storage unit cost to $120 per month a 100% increase over the prior rate. Increasing our total moorage cost to $597.6. When asked why they were increasing rents by such a large amount they simply replied with other people are paying more and the market has increased for the storage units. This to me sounds like economic eviction and they are forcing people out of their lease agreement renewals to make room for newer, higher paying customers.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
