    On September 27th 2024 I purchased a vintage laserdisc player marketed as repaired and recapped (Meaning the capacitors had been replaced.) from Al's booth at the Portland Retro Game Expo. The price was 1800$ USD and when I got it home it worked for a brief period of time before it began to emit a fish like order and have the unit fail. The fish like smell was from capacitors failing inside the console. Initially not knowing the problem I reached out to Als via ******** messenger on the 30th in hopes that they would help me including a video of my issue. They messaged be back on the 2nd of October after I had sent them another message and an email as well. They said they would get back to me and had had their technicians look at the video I had sent and would get back with me. After a week of hearing nothing I reached out again on the 7th only to have no response. I then again messaged them on the 12th and got nothing in return. I decided to call them on the 15th and talked to an employee there who was not able to let me talk to anyone in management and suggested that I must have done something to the unit myself because it worked when they sold it to me. I was informed that the "Tech Guys' were still looking into it and would reach out to me. Another week went by where they did not reach out to me I messaged them again on Messenger and Emailed them looking for an update where I was ignored on both fronts. I decided to call again on the 25th where I was told that the owner was on a trip to ***** and could not talk to me but I made sure to let them know I was feeling as though they were purposely not talking to me and to pass my message along. That night I finally got an email back saying that they had another customers laserdisc player being repaired for clicking sounds and they would get back to me. In their final email contact to me they told me they could not help me and suggested I find another technician near me to help. They ghosted me after that email.

They have reached out to me offering to pay for the repairs to the damaged console they sold me. I will not be needing any further assistance from the bureau and I thank you for your time that your have you have provided to assist me.
