    I bought a 2016 Acura MDX in 2015 . 2023 the paint on the roof peeled away and it was fixed under the warranty. On March 15, 2025 more paint peeled on the back door of the driver side.

    After due diligence, this is a known manufacturer issue, and I feel the only reasonable solution is to be reimbursed for the paint defect. I don't think I should pay out of pocket for something that is a manufacturer defect.

    Chipped roof got painted in 2023 under warranty. However, another peel started right after.

     

    Driver quarter panel started peeling on March 15, 2025.

     

    It seems this may happen again in the future on other parts of the vehicle.

     

    Over the years, as a loyal customer with 4 *********************** and great experiences, I would love to continue to be a satisfied customer with **********************.

    The customer has a *************************** MDX with paint peeling in 2 places. As the vehicle is outside manufacturer warranty coverage, the customer is responsible for the repairs. However, due to previous paint work done by a vendor outside of Acura of Seattle, the customer can have one of the spots remedied at no cost. I have referred the customer to the vendor for further repairs, since Acura of Seattle is not a paint shop and has not painted this vehicle.
