I am filing a complaint against Mazda Seattle *** Johnson due to unethical business practices, including unauthorized charges, lack of transparency, and failure to process a refund in a timely manner.1. Cheating and Dishonesty - The finance manager, ***** *******, added an optional warranty charge of $2,412 to my purchase agreement without my knowledge or consent.- Mr. ******* refused to provide me with any signed documents, including the purchase agreement.- He withheld a 17-page detailed warranty document, which I had never seen or signed. Shockingly, my signatures appeared on these documents without my authorization. After multiple attempts, I was finally able to obtain the purchase agreement, signed documents, and warranty paperwork from another finance manager, *** *.2. Refund Request and Delays - I formally requested the cancellation of the unauthorized warranties and a full refund.- The cancellation form was signed by both parties on December 3, 2024, at which point the refund process should have been initiated.- I was informed that the refund process would **** *-8 weeks. However, despite numerous follow-ups via email, the business has failed to provide any written confirmation of the cancellation.- As of today, February 25, 2025, I have neither received the refund nor any response from the business.- Over the past three days, I have repeatedly attempted to contact the business via phone and email, but have received no response. This experience has caused significant frustration and financial inconvenience. I am seeking BBBs assistance in ensuring that Mazda Seattle *** Johnson honors its commitment by promptly issuing the refund and providing written confirmation of the cancellation.I appreciate your time and assistance in resolving this matter.

I am a 70 year old senior citizen. I brought my 2007 Mazda Miata (of which I am the sole owner and the car mileage of this 16 year old car is 85,00) to *** Johnson Mazda University Service on 9-13-23 to be detailed, have the convertible top drain lines cleaned for winter weather, and to have the tires rotated. When I brought the car in it was running beautifully as it always has over the 16 years that I have owned it with no mechanical issues. *** Johnson Mazda performed a free diagnostic test for me a reported back to me that my car was in poor condition and need recommended and required repairs to be safe to drive in Seattle's winter weather. On 9-20-23 I picked the car up and paid the invoice of $6655.00. The car was running very poorly, idling roughly when I downshifted or while stopped at a red light. I called *** Johnson Mazda back the same day and was advised to return the car to the shop. I couldn't do this immediately but kept in contact with them as the car deteriorated. The next Saturday on 9-29-23 I returned the car to the shop. I explained to the repairman that I had been driving on the freeway when I heard a loud bang come from the car as if a bolt had blown off the engine, but then the car seemed to drive smoother afterwards. The repairman chuckled and commented his dad always noted, sometimes the carbon just blows off the engine-- as if this was just a little joke. A couple of hours later I picked the car up. *** Johnson Mazda repairman advised there was nothing wrong with the car, that it was driven around the block a few times and had no issues. About 2 hours later the car completely died in a parking lot. The battery was fine, as the lights were on and a loud beeping noise was coming from the engine. I had the car towed back to the shop and received an estimate for $995 + tax to have the car repaired and back in running condition.
