The Seattle Times missed delivery of the Sunday newspaper today. Their solution is to credit the account and apologize for missing the delivery as opposed to delivering a newspaper today!

Dear Mr. ******* I apologize for the unfortunate experience you had. We always strive to provide great customer service and redeliver the Sunday paper whenever possible. I was able to locate your account and found the email you sent to our ************************ this past Sunday. Unfortunately, you sent your email at 10:54am and our redelivery deadline for Sunday is 10am PST.                                                                                                                                                                                                                          In the future should you need immediate assistance, it is better to call us rather than email, as emails take longer to process. You can speak to a **************** Representative by calling our office toll free at ************ or ************ between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon, Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

I was just coming off a promotional period. $1 for 6 months than $27.72 a month. I just had the first $27.72 taken out of my bank. I went to cancel my subscription and the online site offered me $.99 3months then $**** a week thereafter. What a difference from$27.72 a month to $15.96 a month! So I called Seattle Times to discuss this with an actual human. She offered me a $1.60 a month for 3 months than $ **** a month after the 3 months. I declined and here's why... I feel ripped off. If they would have offered their $**** /week, lowest price, to begin with I would still be subscribed to the digital paper. Paying $27.72 for the same digital edition for no other reason then that was the promotion I happened upon just seems unfair. Some people get a better deal, I wasn't going to be one if them. That seems like a shifty business practice. Rip off as many subscribers as you can? No thanks Seattle Times. If you ever change this practice I would possibly subscribe in the future.Customer service was able to cancel my subscription by the end of the week. I will receive 3 weeks refund of the $27.72 that was prepaid.

I have several calls to the Seattle Times to cancel a subscription and received no response. I was notified that in order to cancel I would have to pay a $19.95 cancellation fee. I cannot believe that this is possible.

We have no such cancellation fee at The Seattle Times. I looked at ********************** account and show no case notes indicating he called to cancel. If **************** would like to provide the date he called, and his phone number, I can pull the recording of the phone call and have it reviewed. We let customers know that we record all calls for quality assurance, and we can pull calls to review them if there is a dispute such as this. I have cancelled ******************** account effective immediately. If he should have any other questions or concerns, he can also email us at *************************************** and someone will be happy to assist him.

There needs to be a cancel subscription option online. Making a customer call in during your business hours to cancel a subscription is ridiculous. It's a clear attempt at making it more difficult for a customer to cancel, so you can keep charging them. It's f****** 2022 you ********, making someone call to cancel is egregious. I hope your company goes bankrupt

No home delivery for the last 8 days. **************** contact is a foreigner and does not have an answer or an understanding of what our problem is. The Ttimes editorial keeps saying the government needs to help newspapers. The Times needs to become a real business that provides a service rather than just being a platform for advertisement and asking for government help..

Seattle Times exploits senior citizens and has horrible business practices. They will send you e-mail, but will not respond if you e-mail them, I feel bad even mentioning customer service in this review because the Seattle Times has no customer service. There is no window where you can walk up and talk to someone. They drive all their inquiries to a call center where you are welcome to speak to any one of a number of surly millennials who are only interested in bilking customers.
