I entered a Service Agreement with Salesbox LLC on December 2, 2024, paying a $2,000 setup fee plus $2,500/month for an initial three-month campaign$9,500 total. Under the contract, Salesbox promised to run a multi-channel outreach program (including ***** LinkedIn touches per profile per month) and deliver at least six vetted sales calls each month.Between January and March 2025, I received zero qualified leads or actionable opportunities. On February 21, 2025, I discovered 22 unauthorized ******** messages promoting a competitor sent from my account without consentclear misuse of my credentials. I immediately notified Salesbox by email, Slack, and ****** Meet, demanded they cease all use of our accounts, and issued a formal termination notice effective February 21, 2025, citing material breaches.Salesbox ignored my repeated requests for performance reports, call-logs, and refunds. Instead, on March 5, 2025, they referred my account to ***************************** demanding $6,900 for services never rendered. I have formally disputed that claim and asked for itemized billing and proof of performance, but they have provided no documentation.I seek BBBs help to: Obtain a full refund of all fees paid, due to Salesboxs material breach and non-performance. Compel Salesbox to validate or withdraw the $6,900 collection claim. Ensure no further collection activity on an invalid debt.Thank you for assisting me in resolving this matter with Salesbox.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/12/2025

    Hello *******,

I am addressing the complaint made to my business by ******************* - ********* *****, complaint ID ********. Attached is the contract agreement between my company, Salesbox LLC, and *******************, as well as related communications and documentation.

First, Anacapa and Salesbox LLC entered a 3-month services agreement for an outreach campaign, and ******* only made 2 of the contractually agreed 4 payments, meaning they owe and are past due two invoices.
Second, we did acknowledge the issue Anacapa described with the outreach on Feb. 21st, but as you can see from the communication attached, the issue was addressed and corrected by our team immediately within 1 day.
Third, due to that mistake and also to accommodate the customer's cashflow issues, we offered ******* a discount on their second and third payments, as well as extended the 3-month campaign to accommodate. We had a meeting about this, and the Anacapa accepted this, but then did not fulfill to make the third payment.

So, in terms of the complaint and how to find a resolution,we have outlined the situation to the Anacapa team. We extended a discount, which was accepted by the ******* team, but they did not fulfill their part of both the initial signed contract as well as the discount offered extended discount.  We are prepared to discuss a settlement, but we have sent this issue to our collection partner to collect since ******* did sign a contract where we are still owed 2 payments. We are open to extended services for those 2 payments or come to a settlement to part ways.Thank you for your mediation on this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. What Happened
-They solicited me. Salesbox LLC (dba SalesMrkt) via ******** **** P. (Director of Finance & Operations), *** ***** (Founder & CEO), and ******* ******** (Chief Strategy Officer) approached me directly, offering their lead-generation service and guaranteeing a minimum of six qualified appointments per month with prospects actively seeking our video-production services.
-They over-promised and under-delivered. Over three months, they produced zero qualified appointments. Instead, they generated only four generic hello, nice to meet you calls with agencies that lacked any current projects and stated they don't normally hire outside of their internal teams.
-They breached the contract. Our written agreement (Dec 2, 2024) tied payment explicitly to deliverables6 qualified appointments each month, ***** multichannel touches per LinkedIn profile, and monthly performance reportsbut they delivered none.
-They compounded the harm. On Feb 21, 2025, I discovered 22 unauthorized ******** messages sent from my account promoting a competitors reelconduct I never authorized, and which Salesbox still has not remedied.

    2. How I Tried to Resolve
-I paused further payments and gave ******** **** P., *** *****, and ******* ******** multiple opportunities to correct these failures: to pause billing until they actually delivered on their qualified appointments commitment, or to refund the $3,500 Id already paid. All such good-faith offers were ignored.
-On April 23 they referred an unfounded $6,900 debt to ***************************** who began harassing me with collection calls. I formally disputed that debt by certified mail on April 26, butdespite FDCPA requirementsI have received no validation of any service.

    3. What I Need Now
-Proof of Performance. Certified documentation showing they delivered six qualified appointments per month (names, dates, and outcomes) for each month of our engagement, plus ***** multichannel touches per LinkedIn profile and all monthly reports.
-Full Refund. Immediate reimbursement of the $3,500 paid for services never rendered.

    Sincerely,

    *********
