I was excited that Puget Sound Doodles had Mini Bernidoodles and it's located only a hour away! On their website they show older puppies on SALE, some were only $1,800.00.-$2,6000. I was interested in one in particular but there were four (4) that I hoped to interact with. I thought the puppy would pick me. I emailed asking if ***** was still available. I received an email from ***** on 8/6/23 saying "***** and other puppies are available for your consideration". I was told I first needed to fill out the adoption form as well as send the reservation deposit ($1,003.00). In the twelve (12) emails back and forth I requested to see the purchase agreement four (4) times before giving my deposit. I was never sent the agreement. In my last email I let ***** know that I didn't feel it was normal to send money for a deopsit on a purchase that I had no idea as to what I was agreeing to. In addition I was concerned that the none of the puppies I was interested in would still be availabe and I would not find out until after they received my deposit. ***** responded on 8/9/23, see below: "Hello there!" "We apologize but we are not able to serve you at this time." Today is 8/26/23 and all four (4) of the puppies I was interested in are still showing on the Puget Sound Doodle site. ***** is only $1,550.00 as I told ***** in the begining I would drive up there with cash in hand and still would today. ******** and **** are still available $2,650.00 I can have the cash in hand in 20 minutes and be there in 2 hours **** ******* is also still available $1,500.00. What I want to know is IF I did give my deposit and none of the puppies were available. What price would I pay for the next available litter and how long would I have to wait. The deposit of $1,000.00 + the $3.00 fee is non refundable but good for a different puppy for ONE year only. There may be other stipulations in the purchase agreement that I am unaware of. I wasn't given the privilege of seeing the agreement.

    Rejected adoption application

Puget Sound Doodles reserves the right to refuse service. Although very, very, very, rare we do screen all potential adoptees and will reject applications if necessary for the safety of our puppies. Under the extemely rare circumstance an application is denied a refund will be issued; as posted on our website. In this circumstance a refund was not issued because the application was denied prior to the customer remitting the reservation fee.

As posted under our terms and conditions, "not all adoption applications will be approved." The puppies the customer inquired about are available but the adoption application is denied. Hence the gentle refusal ***** sent, "We apologize but we are not able to serve you at this time." Offering to run over with cash when the application is denied is not going to entice us into changing the status of the adoption application.

As further posted on our website, reservations fees are transferrable across litters upto three times. Reservation fees are paid electronically using either Paypal or Square both of which offer buyer protection. All of this is, however, irrelevant seeing how the application is denied.

We thank you for your interest in our puppies.

On November 6, 2022 I ordered a pup from Puget Sound Doodles. I looked through the internet listings and there were several pups for $4000 and $5000 ..in the midst there was one for $1000. Without thinking I filled in the order form. I immediately regretted what I had done as I am 81 and use a ******, not fit for a young exuberant pup. The next morning November 7 2022 I canceled my order by phone message and e mail. At one point they said they would return my money when the funds cleared..It Is now the middle of January. No dog and no money..I live in ****** and the $1000 is $1400 cdn. It really hurtI feel these people are not fair.********************
