  On April 2022, I hired Cedar Valley Earthworks to do the site grading, storm water, and retaining wall for our new home. I worked directly with ******, who at the beginning of the project, was thrilled to start work, and was initially easy to work with, As the project developed, disagreements and arguments between both parties emerged, and regularly too. This led ****** to complain about numerous things about the project. At the time, and for the sake of arguments, I decided to just let him do what he wanted and provided him with everything he needed to complete the project. ****** completed the project in four months. Six months passed, after the completion date, I noticed that the retaining wall he built was shifting the wrong way. I contacted ****** a month later to return to the jobsite, so he can look at the issues and come up with a plan to fix the problems. ****** responded that he would not be able to return to the jobsite and fix the issues because he had a project out of state and that I would seek help elsewhere. I continued to communicate with ****** through texts and phone calls, to no success. That lead me to confirm that ****** did not have further intentions of fixing the problems he created. That said, I decided to hire someone else to fix the failing retaining wall.Aside from the failed retaining wall, we had other issues with ******. Quite often, when he was expected to be at the jobsite to so work, he was no-show, causing delays in the work progress and project schedule. ****** also complained a lot and quick to blame other contractors and made excuses.My overall experience with ****** and Cedar Valley Earthworks was not a positive one. He did not stand by what he had promised to do, had poor communication, and were unprofessional. I do not recommend Cedar Valley Earthworks to anyone seeking his services.

  Manual failed to mention a vast majority of free work that we provided for him, whenever I would tell him a price he would lose his temper and and try to negotiate, after a while of this I just accepted this as a loss as I have learned there are some people out there that want something for nothing.His scheduling costed us a great deal in mobilizing equipment as he could not get his other contractors to keep their schedule, we did not charge him extra for this, and the retaining walls he referred to were built to his design with him hovering over is and micromanaging the entire project
