      The morning of my top surgery consultation they emailed me trying to cancel my appointment. I managed to still be seen but it was a horrible experience that left me feeling discouraged and depressed. The nurse who was corresponding with me via email beforehand spelled my name wrong in every single email despite me signing off with the correct spelling in my replies. They also had my birthday in the system wrong. When I was waiting in the lobby to be seen I could hear the nurses behind the front desk repeatedly and loudly misgendering me (again, literally was being seen for gender affirming care). The building was nice visually but was uncomfortably warm. As for the surgeon, Dr.Won, she felt very 'lights on but no one's home' in the sense that her eyes were empty and she spoke monotonously. There was no bedside manner. She made several poorly obscured judgmental faces during the consultation and made me feel like I was just a major inconvenience. The whole thing felt like a waste of time. It was a very disappointing experience, especially since they have good reviews so I had high expectations.
