Stocker Farms is overselling tickets to their farm and refusing to refund customers when they can't access the services they paid to attend. They are claiming that they sell tickets for specific windows of time to modulate traffic, when in reality, they are letting in as many people as they can as early as they can, creating massive traffic jams that spread across the entire area and impact everyone, not just customers, then will not refund people when they spend 2 hours sitting in traffic to access the place, then can't even get in. They are promising an experience and service to customers that they can't provide. They don't have the capacity and instead of selling fewer tickets or refunding customers when they realize that their space can't accommodate everything they've sold, they're essentially stealing from their customers. While $58.16 is ultimately a small sum of money, we still spent nearly $60 on something we couldn't even do through no fault of our own. Stocker Farms needs to stop over promising on what they can provide and they need to refund customers who can't get in due to their practice of overselling. I do not expect to ever get my money back, but I do think that the experience they're providing for customers is dishonest, disrespectful, and has a major impact on the city of ********* due to the traffic they knowingly cause by overselling tickets.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/25/2024

We are truly sorry that one of our customers had a bad experience with traffic on the day that they were to visit Stocker Farms.  We do our best to control traffic by hiring the ***************************** to help us with this issue and direct our patrons in and out of the Farm.  On that specific day, traffic was heavy and was backed up in all directions.  We had outstanding weather over the weekend which **** many people out to several pumpkin patches in the *****************  On Sunday, October 13 there was also a ******************* which blocked off several main streets.  Traffic was not solely being directed to Stocker Farms.
The customer stated that we oversell tickets.  We have time slotted tickets which helps us control the amount of people coming into the Farm at any given time.  Our timeslots are 10:00a-1:00p, 1:00p-3:00p and 3:00p-5:00p.  If your ticket says 1:00p we DO NOT let people enter at an earlier timeslot.  We encourage people to purchase their tickets online and we state that if it says it is sold out you will not be able to purchase tickets at the gate.
Each ticket holder is required to sign a waiver stating All tickets purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable and valid for dates identified on ticket.  According to our phone register we did not receive a call from the customer.  If the customer had called, we would gladly reschedule their tickets for another day.
Again, we are truly sorry that this customer experienced bad traffic on that day but as stated in the above comment Stocker Farms was not solely responsible for the traffic, and we did our best to have Snohomish Sheriffs help us out in directing traffic into the Farm.
