I was approached outside a grocery store in ***************. Two young men asked for a donation for basketball uniforms. I bought $10 box of cookies. When I came out of the grocery store the men were gone. I filed police report and a claim with my bank. They took $2000 out of my account.

I have an identical complaint to the other person who complained about this business. On June 24, 2024, I was also approached by two men outside my grocery store. They were selling cookies for $8 to buy uniforms for a youth basketball team. I bought a box of cookies and was told a receipt would be emailed. When I got home, I realized that they had charged me $2,000. I pursued this for 2 months with my credit card company, but they eventually said that the bank for the scammers' credit card would not refund the money without a receipt. They told me my best course of action was to go through the Better Business Bureau so I am turning to you to see if I have any other recourse. As the other person with a complaint stated, there is no physical business for this supposed "bakery" and of course I didn't buy $2,000 worth of goods from them. Is there anything else I can do? I have included a copy of the credit card statement showing the charge.

On 7-7-2024 two young men were selling cookies outside of the ******* at 4th and A Street in *********** OR to raise money for their sports team. I purchased one box for $10.00 but they charged my credit card for $2,000.00. My credit card company has informed me that they consider this a valid charge. I wish to stop this practice and hopefully recover some or all of the funds paid.

On the afternoon of 19 June 2024 on my way into the ******* at ***********************************, I was approached by two young men selling cookies which they claimed would fund their basketball team in *****************I bought a box of cookies for $10. My suspicion was raised when (a) they werent there when I left the store and (b) I received no emailed receipt. I checked my online account and discovered Id been charged $2,000 by La La Treats. They overcharged me $1,990. I have disputed the charge with ************ and the merchant is claiming it was a legitimate purchase. They sell treats. Is it likely that I, or anyone, would purchase $2,000 worth of treats from a company located in an apartment building (I got their address from *********** during the dispute process). I wish to file a complaint against the merchant to prevent others from experiencing the same theft.
