This business quoted me $450 to repair the upholstery in my 2017 **** Edge. I gave them the job but they demanded I pay $2,613.60 instead of the quoted price. They refused to give me my car without the full payment. I believe they are running a bait and switch operation. They quote a low amount then bill a much higher amount. In my case 5.8 times the quoted amount.

I am rejecting this response because: His written quote to me was quite clear, $450.  There was no mention of this being a partial quote or a price per piece, it was $450 total.  I agree he failed miserably in generating a deceptive quote, but that is not my fault.  I granted him the job based on his quote, his quote was $450 not the $2,400 he charged me plus tax.  Further, $2,400 is not evenly divided by $450.  To me, this seems like a bait and switch operation and a refund is due.

    Sincerely,
